UNIFORM POLICY
• NO jeggings, denim, jeans, joggers, skinnies
• NO pants with outside back pockets (Must be Dockers style)
• NO Cargo pants
• Shirts must always be tucked in
• Spirit/Friday shirts may be worn on Fridays only
• Undershirts (white/black) must not extend beyond polo sleeve or below
bottom of polo
ATTENDANCE –TARDY POLICY
1st -10th Tardy: No penalty
11th Tardy: Detention
12th Tardy: Detention
15th Tardy: Parent conference/Attendance Probation Letter
19th Tardy: Final Verbal Warning
20th Tardy: No activities until 20 days perfect attendance
21st Tardy: Possible dismissal from Magnet Program
*There is no distinction between Excused/Unexcused tardy.
ATTENDANCE –EXCUSED EARLY
Students are permitted to be
excused early from school no
more than 10 times. More than
10 excused earlies may result in
loss of activities.
ATTENDANCE –ABSENCES
Absences are considered excused or unexcused.
Students are allowed a total of 10 absences in the school year. This includes excused and unexcused.
Every effort should be made to only have excused absences.
Excused notes must be presented in the main office upon the student’s return to school.
THE CONNECTION BETWEEN ATTENDANCE AND ACTIVITIES
More than 9 absences total (excused/unexcused) = student may not be allowed to participate in school activities/competitions/performances.
More than 19 tardies = student may not be allowed to participate in school activities/competitions/performances.

ATTENDANCE REVIEW COMMITTEE
Students who are in jeopardy of losing their activities will be reviewed thoroughly by the Attendance Review Committee.
The Attendance Review Committee may determine that a student can participate in activities if the absences in questions are EXCUSED.
MAGNET REQUIREMENTS
2.0 GPA OVERALL
NO GRADE LESS THAN “B” IN MAGNET COURSES
NO GRADE LESS THAN “C” IN CONDUCT
NO GRADE LESS THAN “2” IN EFFORT
MUST ADHERE TO CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT
EXCESSIVE SUSPENSION DAYS OR LEVEL 2 VIOLATIONS WILL RESULT IN DISMISSAL FROM MAGNET PROGRAM
WE ARE A CLOSED CAMPUS
PARENTS CANNOT WALK STUDENTS TO CLASS
ALL PERSONS ENTERING THE OFFICE WILL BE ASKED FOR ID PRIOR TO ENTERING
NO DELIVERIES ARE PERMITTED DURING SCHOOL HOURS INCLUDING FOOD, MAKE-UP,
BOOKBAGS, NOTEBOOKS, UNIFORMS, ETC.

DROP-OFF/PICK-UP
Bus Loop (SW 24th street): Open to parents and busses for
drop off in the morning only. Parents are not permitted to
use the Bus Loop in the afternoon.
Parent Loop (152nd avenue) can be used by parents for both drop
off and pick up.
Students must be ready to exit and enter the car promptly to
avoid any delays.

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students must report to the Cafeteria
every day upon arrival to school.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
All 9-12th grade students must report to the courtyard area by
Building 5 and newly expanded area behind Building 2 upon
arrival to school.

▪ Students arriving at 7:25 am must report directly to their classroom.
▪ Students arriving after 7:30 am must report to the Attendance Office for a Tardy Pass.
*NO DROPPING OFF STUDENTS IN THE STAFF PARKING LOT.
UNAUTHORIZED VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER.

▪ STUDENTS SHOULD BE PICKED UP IN A TIMELY MANNER
▪ PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION
▪ FLEX STOP PASSES WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER THE FIRST TEN DAYS
▪ AFTER CARE IS ENCOURAGED FOR STUDENTS WITH LATE PICK UP
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
1. School starts at 7:30 am SHARP! Leave your house 10 minutes earlier in order to avoid first day delays.
2. Know where to go. Please log onto your student portal for your 1st period room assignment.
3. Breakfast is served free of charge in the cafeteria from 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 a.m.
daily.
4. Students must be in full uniform beginning first day of school.
5. School day ends at 2:30 PM.
