Duties include the creation of strategies to strengthen links between Regent’s University and Universities in Brazil and Portugal and the organization of events to promote Portuguese studies.

03/2012 – 06/2012 Institute of Canadian Studies, University of Ottawa, Canada UNESCO Research Fellow I was nominated by the Brazilian Government as the national candidate for the UNESCO Keizo Obuchi Research Awards and my proposal, “Achieving Intercultural Dialogue through Indigenous Visual Arts: Brazil and Canada”, was selected by an international committee, which awarded me US$ 10,000. Cluster: “Observatoire des Nouvelles Pratiques Symboliques” 09/2011 – 02/2012 Department of Hispanic Studies, University of Sheffield, UK Coordinator of Portuguese Studies and Associate University Teacher in Portuguese Language and Lusophone Literature and Culture I was appointed Coordinator of Portuguese studies upon the sabbatical leave of the Director of Portuguese studies. I was the teacher responsible for all the administrative work related to Lusophone studies and managed a group of three Portuguese language teachers. The above post involved marking, teaching and designing content and language modules at all levels and on varied aspects of Lusophone history, literature and culture. 2010 – 2011 Department of European Studies and Modern Languages, University of Bath, UK Part-time Lecturer I contributed to the unit “Latin American Visual Cultures” and to undergraduate teaching in the field of culture and politics.
