“A person’s a person, no matter how small,” Theodor Seuss Geisel (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss) said. “Children want the same things we want. To laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained and delighted.” For this assignment, you and your group members will work together to create a puppet show from one of Dr. Seuss’s famous children’s stories. You will be creating puppets to act in your show and props to entertain. Your Seussical Show should: 1. Contain all of the major plot events and characters from the original Dr. Seuss tale, but it can be condensed. 2. Include creative puppets that resemble characters from your story. 3. Have props included that add interest to the play. 4. Start with a colorfully vibrant sign introducing the story you will be presenting. 5. Be well prepared. All group members must take part in the presentation, so Practice, Practice, Practice! 6. Include a treat for your audience. Something that relates to the story you are presenting.
