winkel waar hy sestig jaar gelede begin werkhet.

My kinders wat in Koreaskoolgehouhet, hetvirmy ’nsplinternuwemo-tor gegee.

A nonstop flow of communication between yourself and the people in your immediateenvironment is likely today. You may engage in interesting and informative discussionsor fritter your time away in inconsequential chatter and gossip. Mental curiosity or

restlessness may also impel you to take a short trip or visit.

(22 December - 21 January)CAPRICORN

Your ability to concentrate and focus on your work is very good now. This is a time toattend to details, take care of practical business, and to make your life more stable andsecure. It would be beneficial to consult advisors on investments and long-range plans

and to put your affairs in order.

(21 January - 20 February)

AQUARIUS

You are in a festive, partying mood and just want to play and share a good timewith your friends. Community social events and fellowship are very rewarding now. Also, at this time it is hard for you to say no to food, drink, or extravagances in any

form. You are also very generous and tolerant toward others.

PISCES(20 February - 21 March)

Your imagination runs wild during this time period! You are attracted to any kind of fantasy, mysticism, or imaginative work. Of course, the extent to which this affects you and the

precise ways it manifests depends largely on your own personal tastes and inclinations inthese matters. But regardless of your temperament, your imagination will soar at this time.

ARIES(21 March - 21 April)

Mental clarity, discrimination, and your ability to separate fact from fiction isdiminished now. Miscommunications and an inability to formulate your ideas

coherently are likely. Your mind wanders, and this can be a time of creative reverie ordaydreaming. Avoid making binding contracts at this time.

TAURUS(21 April - 21 May)

You may feel temporarily blocked now. Resistance and challenges from othersor from outside situations suggest that this is not a good time to try to forceyour will and desires upon the world, as friction is the only likely result.

Relations with men can be especially tense.

GEMINI(21 May - 22 June)

You experience a burst of energy and are more vigorous, bold, assertive, andimpatient at this time. You feel ambitious and capable of doing a lot and meeting

challenges successfully. However, if your will is blocked, you become quite angry now.You are less willing to accommodate others and meet people halfway.

LEO(23 July - 24 August)

Friendships and love relationships are favored as you are openly affectionate, warm, and also quite responsive to loving gestures from others. It's not enoughfor you to simply feel loving toward another; at this time you really want to

express it and show it physically

VIRGO(24 August - 23 September)

This is likely to be a time of considerable frustration and discouragement for you.You are unusually sensitive to criticism of your efforts and to the limitations and

restraints that your responsibilities entail. Fighting with authority figures or lashingout at others who restrict you in any way is a strong possibility.

CANCER(22 June - 23 July)

Today you want to stand out, to be the center of attention, and receiverecognition. It is a time to appreciate who you are as a unique individual. This isthe beginning of a new year for you, and you feel charged with new energy,

vitality, and sense of purpose.

LIBRA(23 September - 23 October)

Romance and flirtations are likely now. You are feeling warm, expressive, andlively. Loving feelings flow between you and the people you meet, especiallythose of the opposite sex. Friendships are also strengthened at this time. Also, your creativity and desire to make something beautiful is stimulated now.

SCORPIO(23 October - 23 November)

This is a good time to travel, especially to places you've never experienced before, where you will be exposed to new ideas and different ways of looking at the world.Studying new concepts is also favored; your ability to understand abstract ideas and

your desire to grow intellectually is strong now.

Method:

Preheat oven to 180°C. Cut three deep slits into the

thickest part of each chicken piece (this helps it to cook

faster and the flavour to penetrate). Season chicken and

roast for 25 minutes or microwave on high for 10-15

minutes, or until just cooked through. Remove chicken

and strain off excess liquid. Mix basting sauce ingredients

together and pour over chicken. Braai chicken over

medium coals, turning regularly, basting with remaining

sauce until well browned and slightly charred. Leave to

rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Everyyear thousandsof SouthAfri-cans across the country prepare towrite the National Senior Certifi-cate.

For ourmatrics, whoarenearing theend of their school days, it is both anexciting and daunting period. This iswhy the Western Cape Education De-partment (WCED) has launched theirnewest e-learning resource that willhelp matrics with their exam prepara-tions.

The WCED Matric Support Site wentlive this week with over 180 YouTubeeducational videos in mathematics,

science and geography. The new web-site can be accessed via the Depart-ment’s homepage, http://wced.school.za. The materials havebeen made possible through a partner-ship with the WCED and StellenboschUniversity’s (SU) telematics pro-gramme, illustrating that providingadditional educational resources tolearners need not be a pipe dream.

Matrics can also buy these video ma-terials from Edumedia through theWCED’s website. Videos in other sub-jectsareset tobeuploadedonce they’vebeen made available. The aim of thewebsite is to provide additional aca-

demic support to matrics in their prep-arations for the final exams. The web-sitealsoincludes linkstopastexamina-tion papers and asks questions whichmatricscanusetoimprovetheirunder-standing of examinable content and re-lated question papers.

“The WCED’s embrace of using tech-nology to improve learner outcomesand provide quality education willeventually go hand in hand with theWesternCapeGovernment’s roll-out ofbroadband internet access in the com-ing months,” said Cathy Labuschagne,WesternCapeSpokesperson forEduca-tion (DA).

With the assistanceof the WCED’s Ma-tric Support Site, matrics may nothave to sweat toomuch during theirupcoming matricexams.
