Dramix® READY, reinforcement for foundation slabs

Dramix®

The safe and smart way

Dramix® steel fibre concrete reinforcement is an excellent alternative for traditional mesh reinforcement and is capable of supporting the construction loads and bending moments. For family houses, small apartment blocks, residential and utility buildings, Dramix® steel fibres offer an easy and cost-effective way to reduce crack formation.

The smart way for foundation slabs

Practical recommendations:✔ This system is only suitable for foundations with elastic subbase and without significant water pressure. (The occasional use of thermic insulation as subbase requires a minimum compression modulus of 120 kPa - 10 % compression)✔ Thickness of raft should be between 200 and 400 mm. Maximum slab dimensions without dilatation joints: 25 m x 15 m.✔ The solution must be checked and approved by the statical engineer responsible for the project.✔ Keep the auxiliary reinforcement to cover peak moments (i.e. point loads, heavy line loads, corners, …).

family house small apartment block neighbourhood holiday resort - bungalow park

Are these your applications?✔ With edge beam

✔ Without edge beam

Occasional use of thermic insulation is possible

Design notes: ✔ Bekaert warrants the validity of its software and the resulting design note as a methodology. ✔ Bekaert is nevertheless unable to have an insight in (and a control over) the correctness of the data (such as but not limited to correct

geometry, materials and design conditions). ✔ The choice between different foundation techniques is to be made by the building engineer.✔ No allowance has been made for settlements and deformations of the subground or foundation.

A recipe for quality, cost-effi ciency and the environment. It’s all in the Dramix® package.

A reinforcement in line with regulations and local standards

CE approved fibres: solutions withoptimal fibre dosage andCE certificates. Request your CE certificate.

A solution offering a minimum of 4400 metrewire reinforcement in each cubic metre

This multidimensional steel web ensures an efficient redistribution of tensions, which are required for optimum crack control.

At your concrete plant, Dramix® is mixed industrially into a first-rate, homogeneous all-in-one reinforcement solution.

This quality controlled building material – in line with your design – is then delivered to you as an end product.
