National “Toasted Tour” June 25th

Blue Point Brewing Company is bringing its laid-back east coast flair to Daytona Beach as part of its national

"Toasted Tour." The action-packed outdoor event takes parking lot partying to a whole new level with an afternoon of live music, craft beer demos and of course, Blue Point beer! Live Music: Surfer Blood at 3 p.m. with local supporting acts Spred the Dub at 1:30 p.m. and The Helmsman at noon.

NABA Butterfly Count Monday, June 27th, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Visitors will enjoy nature and contribute to a nationwide butterfly population monitoring program at this special

event. This event will bring together the public and a dedicated group of local naturalists for a day of butterfly watching to assist with a nationwide

program that monitors butterfly populations. While prior knowledge of butterflies is a plus, it is not required for participation in this event. The Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve's Environmental Education Center boasts natural and cultural history exhibits, aquariums, and a nature store. It also features outdoor recreational facilities including ten miles of hiking trails, three beach access points, a fishing area, and a picnic pavilion.

Events like the Garden Walk are offered by the Friends of Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, a community-based not-for-profit organization whose mission is to

2nd Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest July 2nd

Join us for this summer tradition! 2nd Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest!

$400 Cash Prize. Contest open to the first ten (10) people who register! Admission: FREE to spectators | $10 for participants. The object is to eat as many hot dogs AND buns, with water as the only beverage within 3 minutes. (Water will be provided). Condiments will be provided if desired. Participants will wait for the whistle to start – Contest will be timed with

a stopwatch. Any complete hot dog and bun in Participants mouth at the final whistle is counted – provided it is then swallowed. Dunking and crushing the hot dog and bun is permitted. Separating the hot dog and bun is permitted. Any Participant caught breaking any of the rules will be disqualified.
