The New Jersey Driver License System:

If you change your address, you must notify the MVC within a week after moving

If you legally change your name, you must report the change to the MVC within two weeks

If you have an out-of-state license, you must apply for a NJ license within 60 days, or when your license expires, whichever is sooner, and afterwards, it must be surrendered

To apply for a license, provide your full name, current address, social security number, 6 points of ID verification, and other documentation that verifies your legal presence in the US.

Permit and Probationary drivers must display two visible, reflective decals one on each license plate

If under 21, no driving between 11:01 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

For a permit, must bring 6 points of identification

This permit lasts for two years
