!Drop Feel originated as an EDM song.

Before work on the original song began, a vintage Polyfusion brand synthesizer was used to obtain samples. This produced sounds that were thicker,

and less linear than those I was illable to produce with soft synths. The lo-fi, pop, and trap rap influence on the pieces surface is evident to the listener when focusing on the tuneful,

simplistic bass harmonies in the strings. Ostinati voiced in the piccolo and glockenspiel connect the adjoining formal sections, timbres, and tempi

creating a piece that is a modern, yet anachronistic fusion between many diverse sound worlds.
