    Abstract

Inadequate blood clotting may bresult from vitamin K de ciency, geneticallydetermined errors of clotting factor synthesis (eg. Hemophilia), a veriety ofdrug-induced conditions, ande thtrombocytopenia. reatment, therefore, involves administration of vitamin K, preformed clotting factors, orantiplasmin drugs. hrombocytopenia may be treated by administration ofplatelets.
