About the CME
Antibiotic resistance is one of the huge burdens in today’s
changing environment, due to newly emerging pathogens.
The risk of developing antibiotic resistance in India is
much higher in respect to the other developing countries.
In addition to the financial burden and increase in
mortality, it has profound impact on the delivery of health
services too. A majority of this resistance can be largely
preventable by Antimicrobial stewardship activity (AMSP).
Therefore, objective of the scientific sessions of the CME
is to make aware about antibiotic resistance and its
practical implementation in day to day life.

to the CME on “Antimicrobial Resistance-2019” being
organized at All India Institute of Medical Sciences,
Jodhpur.
About Jodhpur
Jodhpur "The Sun City" was founded by Rao Jodha, a chief
of the Rathore clan, in 1459. It is named after him only.
Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India was previously known as
Marwar. Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan. It
is divided into two parts - the old city and the new city. The
old city is separated by 10 km long wall surrounding it.
Also it has eight Gates leading out of it. The new city is
outside the walled city.
The city is known as the “Sun City” for the bright, sunny
weather it enjoys all the year round. It is also referred to as
the “Blue City” due to the vivid blue-painted houses around
the Mehrangarh Fort. The old city circles the fort and is
bounded by a wall with several gates. Jodhpur’s attractions
include Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Palace, JaswantThada,
GhantaGhar (Clock Tower) and Flying Fox (Mehrangarh
Fort). Tourists can make excursions to Mandore, Kaylana
Lake and Palace, Masooria Hills, Veer DurgadasSmarak
(monument, park and museum), BhimBhirak Cave.
