Dryer Vent Box_spec_1013 DESCRIPTION Old approaches to dryer venting were inefficient due to friction-causing bends in the flexible hose behind the dryer. These restrictive airflow bends keep the appliance far away from the wall, and they are the primary source of lint build-up in the flex duct, which is a fire hazard. Similar to the commonly used recessed washing-machine-connection box, the American Aldes Recessed Dryer Vent Box will provide many benefits to the contractor and homeowner. ADVANTAGES No restrictive bends in the flex duct Saves space and energy Reduces fire hazard Less drying time equals improved dryer efficiency Dryer can be installed against the wall 22-gauge aluminized steel box is safe, rigid, rust free, and paintable Two models available: Up-Flow or Down-Flow The rectangular galvanized metal box installs easily between 16" center studs. DESCRIPTION Old approaches to dryer venting were inefficient due to friction-causing bends in the flexible hose behind the dryer.

ADVANTAGES• No restrictive bends in the flex duct• Saves space and energy• Reduces fire hazard• Less drying time equals improved dryer efficiency• Dryer can be installed against the wall• 22-gauge aluminized steel box is safe, rigid, rust free, and paintable• Two models available: Up-Flow or Down-Flow

The rectangular galvanized metal box installs easily between 16" center studs. It is manufactured with a drywall stop for proper finishing. NOTE: Assumes drywall thickness of 1/2".

Both the Up-Flow and Down-Flow models are designed to be connected to 4" snap-lock pipe. The ports on the models for 2" x 4" walls are oval; the ports on the models for 2" x 6" walls are round.
