New England TripFriendship, Nature and Early American CharmEarly October brought the Rewards Club to New England. Our group of 12 (or as we came to be known on the tour, the “Dirty Dozen”) joined roughly 30 others from across the country on this Mayflower Tour that spanned five states: Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont and New Hampshire. We started in Boston, MA, meeting our delightful tour guide April and bus driver Buddy.

In several instances, we were joined by step-on guides from the area who injected authenticity and local flavor into their stories and explanations of the sights. We experienced nearly every mode of travel, from flying into Boston, riding in a luxury motorcoach throughout New England, to taking the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard, the Cog Railway to the top of Mount Washington, NH, and a cruise across Lake Winnipesaukee to Wofeboro, NH. We enjoyed breathtaking nature settings mixed with historical attractions. Along the way we made great friends with our fellow travelers and encountered several Wisconsin natives working as our servers and guides!

Thank you to all of our travelers for your friendship and comradery that made the trip so enjoyable for everyone. We hope to see some of our other Club members on our next extended tour!

Many people find the benefits of group travel outweigh the flexibility of being independent.

Ease—The primary reason people enjoy group travel is that it’s easy. There’s no planning! Luggage handling and door-to-door drop-off is typically part of the cost. Plus, there’s no driving or map reading for you or your partner.

Affordability—Often times, by traveling with a group you’ll attain better rates for hotels and attractions than you could on your own. In addition, attractions often allow groups into “special” areas that individual travelers don’t see.

Safety—Most people feel a greater sense of security in a group atmosphere.

Camaraderie—There’s a special bond that grows between people experiencing something new or unknown together. Many group travelers like the idea of meeting new people, while others feel comfort and excitement in traveling with the same group year after year.
