DSC WORLD’SEVENTS FLASHBACK

PENTAX &JB CITY

The fervent response to Pentax & KL City (held in April) inspired Pentax to organize Pentax & JB City – as a way of expressing appreciation and gratitude towards Pentax fans in the south. With support from the celebrated local dealer, Foto CLS, it was a fabulous day for more than 60 Pentax enthusiasts. The participants first registered at Hallmark Regency Hotel. After a briefing, they lugged on their equipment and set out to explore JB City. In all but three hours, they managed to visit eight locations! Numerous breathtaking shots were stolen from Johor Ancient Temple, Sri Raja Mariamman Temple, Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, Indian Mosque, Sultan Ibrahim Building, Gurdwara Sahid Sikh Temple, Broadway Theatre and Railway Station. Five outstanding winners – Billy Lim, Yves Lee, Justin Hong, Tan Chee Hui, Chai Ming Yang, won exclusive premiums from Pentax, including a trolley travel bag, an umbrella and travel essentials. The grand winner, Kenny Khoo, received a brilliant Pentax MX-1 camera!

DANCE! PENTAX

It was an exceptional dance-photo workshop. To proclaim their emphasis on creativity and inimitability, Pentax hosted this event for zealous photographers to take shots of dancers working their magic in front of their lenses. The workshop was held at Absolute Music Performing Arts Centre (AMPAC), where two ballet dancers and one Jazz dancer were specially invited to spin, shimmy and spellbind. Ecstatic clicks echoed throughout the centre.

Pentax also proudly showcased their camera and lens series, particularly the brand new Pentax K-50 and Pentax DA 560mm F5.6ED AW. The organizers generously welcomed participants to try out their equipment. There were three outstanding winners that day: Lim Teong Boon, DR Hisham and Sea Theam Meng. Each of them won exclusive premiums from Pentax, including a trolley travel bag, an umbrella and travel essentials.
