Sample Application Process

Madison Metropolitan School District • Application Process: The Dual Language Immersion program is open to all

MMSD students; however, it is only available at certain schools and grade levels. Students living outside of the attendance area of the schools may apply; however, students living within each attendance area are given preference into the DLI program.

• Every student in the classroom is a model of their native language and a learner of a second language. This student makeup is essential for the design and success of the program. Therefore, as a part of the lottery process, the classrooms are built at a 50:50 to 60:40 ratio based on language background.
