Over 600 figures from across the Mena business and financial sectors came together in Dubai for GTR Mena Trade Finance Week 2016, reaffirming the event’s position as the premier gathering for the region’s trade and export finance community.
Returning for its 13th year, 2016’s event included the annual GTR Mena Trade & Export Finance Conference, the ICC Regional Mena Banking Commission’s 3rd annual Supply Chain Technology Forum, GTR Training seminar, plus various networking functions. In addition, over 50 key market institutions were credited as official supporters, from the likes of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Dubai Exports, the International Chamber of Commerce, ADCB, Emirates NBD, Falcon Group, HSBC, SABB and many more.
Keynote speakers for the conference included His Excellency Hani Al Hamli, Secretary General of the Dubai Economic Council (DEC) and Ahmed bin Sulayim, Executive Chairman of DMCC, both of whom outlined the government’s vision for further developing Dubai and the UAE’s enviable position as a leading global trade hub.
