The weather was cer- tainly fantastic and allowed for plen- ty of time to be spent outdoors I’m sure. This term has lots planned from sporting trips, to Education Week celebrations, to Zumba lessons with Tracy, to District and Western Ath- letics Carnivals, Stage 3 excursion to Sydney and loads more. Please en- sure students are at school every day to make sure they don’t miss out on all the exciting things occurring in and around DNPS this term. Staff Changes For the remainder of the year Miss Krystal Haines will be teaching Yel- low from Monday – Thursday and Mr Schein will revert back to teach- ing Red and then both classes on Fri- day. The support class and Mr Schein in particular did a fantastic job keeping the ED classes running during Term 2 when we were a teacher down. Also, Mrs Anderson will be missing in action for a few weeks following surgery and will be replaced in the office by Miss Skye Moore. School Beanies These have finally arrived and are for sale through the front office for $10. You’ll need to get in quick to pur- chase one as with them being a new product, I’ve only ordered 50. Obvi- ously if there is more demand for them then another order will be placed. Please remember though, these do not replace hats and will need to be worn under hats when stu- dents are playing in the playground. All the SLSO’s attended a conference at Western Plains Taronga Zoo listen- ing to presenters discussing why children do what they do and how to best cater for this. These days pro- vide invaluable Professional Learn- ing opportunities for staff and are always very enriching. Have a great first week back. Zumba With Tracy Mrs Acton has again organised for Zumba Tracy to attend DNPS on Fridays during Term 3 for sport. The students, and staff, love this activity and it is always very successful and enjoyable for all involved. Students can either pay $2 a week or $20 for the whole term in order to partici-pate. Alice Roche was treated to a Principal’s Lunch for receiving 5 merit certificates. Alice chose to dine

at Mad Mex. She enjoyed a burrito with Zella-Rose, Mrs Robertson and Mrs Wallace.

Principal’s Lunch Year 6 Sistaspeak girls attended the Opportunity Hub’s Miimi Mudyi Day (which means Sister Friend). The girls focused on the importance of developing healthy friendships, being kind to themselves and learnt what it meant to be resilient.

Assembly—Hosted by Support 100 days in Kindergarten What does 100 look like?

Infants Tabloids at the Athletics Carnival

The Infants students had a great day at the carnival. They participated in a rotation of activities including sack races,

egg & spoon races, shot put, quoits, hurdles, jumping balls, parachute , long jump & 100m age races.

The weather was nice and sunny and all the students were responsible, safe & respectful to their fellow competitors.

Well done to all!

Blue had to build a pirate ship then had to see how much weight it would hold. Lucas held the most with 1.5kgs
