Message from the Principal

Year 6 Farewell

What a great evening we all enjoyed

last Wednesday as Mrs Wallace and

the Stage 3 teachers organised the Year

6 Farewell. The evening was well

attended with over 160 guests attend-

ing, which is the most we’ve ever had,

and all the students looked fantastic.

This is definitely a highlight on the

school calendar, and it is even more

encouraging when staff spend count-

less hours outside of school preparing

for the event. If anyone has any sug-

gestions on how to make this event

even more special, please feel free to

call me to discuss any feedback you

may have.

Presentation Assembly

Well done also to Mrs Letfallah and

her team for organising the Presenta-

tion assembly last Thursday. The as-

sembly was well attended by parents

and guests and it is an excellent oppor-

tunity to celebrate all the achievements,

sporting, academic and cultural, from

throughout the year. A special mention

to Dux of the school Marshir Towers

and our new School Captains for 2019,

Montanna McNair and Harley Stewart,

who I’m sure will do a fantastic job

leading the SRC.

Principal’s Pool Party

Yesterday I was accompanied by 1/2C,

1/2J, 5/6J and Blue to the Dubbo

Aquatic and Leisure Centre to celebrate

excellent attendance throughout 2018.

park and a sausage sizzle for lunch. A

great day was enjoyed by all and I look

forward to celebrating success again in

2019.

Leaving Staff

This year we are farewelling only 1

member of staff and that is Miss Holly

Griffiths, who has accepted a permanent

teaching position at Narromine Public

School. Miss Griffiths has been teaching

RFF across the school this year and I

hope she has enjoyed her time at DNPS.

Miss Darcy is also leaving us and will

returning to university to continue with

her studies.

2018

I’d just to reflect on and thank our entire

school community and staff for their

support and efforts throughout 2018. It

has been another busy year with lots

happening and lots of success achieved.

None of this would have been possible

without the support of the school com-

munity and the professionalism of the

teaching staff, who go above and be-

yond at all times. I couldn’t ask for a

more dedicated and committed staff,

and I’d like to take this opportunity to

wish them and the entire school commu-

nity a very Merry Christmas and a rest-
