Temporary Closure of Roadways to facilitate the Airtricity Dublin City Marathon

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order for the temporary closure of the following roads within the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s Administrative area:

1. Clonskeagh Road 2. Roebuck Road 3. Foster’s Avenue 4. Stillorgan Road (R138 Dual Carriageway), North from junction with Foster’s Avenue 5. and via the UCD Flyover to the County Boundary.

The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the running of the Airtricity Dublin City Marathon 2015

on Monday, 26th October 2015.

The roads are to be temporarily CLOSED from 09:00 to 17:00 hrs. to facilitate the race and to allow sufficient time for a clean-up before re-opening the road network to traffic.

» Glenageary Road Lower /Holmston Avenue ***

KN Network Services will be carrying out works on Glenageary Road Lower adjacent to Holmston Avenue to install a signalised pedestrian crossing. Works will commence on Tuesday, 27th October 2015 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. and last for four weeks.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» Corbawn Lane and Shanganagh Road (part of) ***

Footpath Restoration works on Corbawn Lane will continue to be progressed from its Junction with Eaton Wood Avenue to the Irish Rail Bridge. Works will be undertaken between 08.00 and 18.00 hrs. (Wednesday to Friday).

A Stop / Go Shuttle System will be in place. In addition, Footpath Restoration works on Shanganagh Road will be progressed from its Junction with Shankill Roundabout to its junction with Beehfield Manor / Windrush. Traffic diversions will be signposted and a 3-Way Stop / Go System (as required) will be in operation to facilitate Shanganagh Road works.

» Goatstown Road / Roebuck Road Junction, Goatstown **

Drainage and reinstatement works will continue on Goatstown Road between the junction of Roebuck Road and Larchfield Road from Tuesday, 27th October 2015 to Friday, 30th

October 2015 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» St. Patrick’s Road, Dalkey *

Reinstating 10m of granite kerbing works will commence on Wednesday, 28th October 2015 until Friday, 30th October 2015 between 09:00 and 17:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» Coolevin Estate, Ballybrack *

Footpath dishing on both sides of road outside school, works with commence on Tuesday, 27th October 2015 until Thursday, 29th October 2015 between 09:00 and 17:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

# Blackrock Main Street (outside Bank of Ireland) **

Footpath improvement works will continue on Blackrock Main Street (outside the Bank of Ireland) until Friday, 30th October 2015 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

# St. Thomas’s Road, Mount Merrion **

Footpath reconstruction works will continue until Friday, 30th October 2015 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

# N11 at Stillorgan outbound carriageway and inbound at Brewery Road ***

(Night works)

Scat loops and anti-skid works will continue until Friday, 30th October 2015 between 17:30 and 06:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

# Dundrum Road (beside Churchfield Estate) ***

Construction work will continue until Friday, 30th October 2015 to connect new residential units to the existing public utilities on the footpath, (foul and water mains) and roadway (drainage connection). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

# Leopardstown Road – R113 *** Leopardstown Link Road and Roundabout Reconfiguration Scheme Leopardstown Link Road OPENED to traffic on Wednesday, 22nd July 2015, providing a new access to South County Business Park, Leopardstown Race Course and Leopardstown Park Hospital. Works now progressing on Brewery Road, the Roundabout, Burton Hall Road and Leopardstown Road as part of the signalisation of the roundabout. Footpath closed on Leopardstown Road West, please follow diversions. Burton Hall Road down to 1 lane either direction from Monday, 14th September 2015 for approximately 5 weeks. Works now progressing on Southern side of Burton Hall Road. The configuration of the roundabout is adjusted locally to enable service installations. Drivers are requested to proceed with caution through the roundabout. Pedestrian crossing position adjusted on Brewery Road – Signage in Place. Localised Traffic Management will be in place, inclusive of lane closures and Stop / Go as required. Expected completion date of entire scheme – 2nd Quarter 2016

# Taney Avenue, Dundrum *

Footpath reconstruction works will continue until Friday, 30th October 2015 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

# Thornhill Road, Mount Merrion *

Jointing and over banding works will continue until Friday, 30th October 2015 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

# Kilmacud Road Lower ***

(between junction of Kilmacud Road Upper and Allen Park)

Footpath reconstruction works will continue until Wednesday, 28th October 2015 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. Footpath on north side will be inaccessible during the works and all pedestrians will be diverted through the pedestrian crossings at both junctions. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Ballinteer Road, Ballinteer **

The Ballinteer Road Traffic Safety Improvement scheme began on site on Monday, 24th August 2015 and will last approximately three months. Works will take place on Ballinteer Road between the Sandyford Green Route and the junction of Ballinteer Road / Ballinteer Avenue. Stop / Go Traffic Management will be in place at junction with College Park intermittently between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

N11 - Public Lighting Upgrade Works **

Public lighting upgrade works will continue until Friday, 30th October 2015 on N11 outbound lane between Fosters Avenue Junction and Mount Merrion Junction between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. and between 19:30 and 23:30 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

Public Lighting Lantern and Bracket Upgrade Works **

Public lighting lantern and bracket upgrade works will take place on:

1. Ballinteer Avenue 2. Dublin Road 3. Shanganagh Road 4. Killiney Hill Road 5. Crofton Road

These works will continue until Friday, 30th October 2015.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation as required.

Irish Water *

Irish Water meter installation works will continue next week.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
