The New York-based Jessica Lang Dance was founded in 2011 and makes its Duncan Theatre debut this season. Recipient of the 2014 Bessie Award and 2017 Arison Award, Jessica is also known for her work outside of JLD. Her choreography has been performed by prominent companies around the world, from original compositions for American Ballet Theater and the National Ballet of Japan, to her work on the production of Aida directed by Francesca Zambello for the San Francisco and Washington National Opera companies. All performances at 2PM in Stage West MAXWELL QUARTET Wednesday, January 23, 2019 @ 2PM | $35 Winner of both the First Prize and Audience Prize at the 2017 Trondheim (Norway) International Chamber Music Competition, the Glasgowbased Maxwell Quartet is now firmly regarded as one of Britain's finest string quartets. Based in Scotland, they have performed at London’s Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, St. Martin in the Fields, and the BBC Chamber Music Proms, and at festivals across the UK, including their own Loch Shiel Festival in the Scottish highlands. Their current season takes them to Denmark, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, France and China. JULIAN G – DIRECT FROM CARNEGIE HALL (JULIAN GARGIULO, PIANO) Wednesday, February 6, 2019 @ 2PM | $35 Born and educated in Italy, Mr. Gargiulo studied at the Verona State Conservatory (Randone), the Mugi Academy in Rome (Ciccolini) and the Moscow State Conservatory (Mezhlumov). He performs regularly throughout the world in halls such as Carnegie Hall, United Nations' Dag Hammarskjöld Auditorium, Moscow Conservatory Hall, Verona Philharmonic Hall, The Esplanade (Singapore) and the Seymour Theatre Centre (Australia) among many others. Known for his collaborative spirit recent partnerships include performances with soprano Olga Makarina (Metropolitan Opera), violinists Elizabeth Zeltser (NY Philharmonic), Dmitri Berlinsky (Paganini Gold medalist), Lucio Degani (Solisti Veneti), and trumpet virtuoso Joe Burgstaller (Canadian Brass). NATALIE CLEIN, CELLO Wednesday, March 20, 2019 @ 2PM | $35 Appointed as the first Distinguished Artist-in-Residence at Oxford University in 1,000 years, British cellist Natalie Clein has built a distinguished career, regularly performing at major venues and with orchestras worldwide such as the Philharmonia, the Royal Philharmonic, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Orchestre National de Lyon, and both the Vienna Chamber and English Chamber Orchestras. In 1999 Natalie was appointed as one of the first Artists to join the BBC Radio 3 New Artists Scheme and this past season she curated a series of concerts for BBC Radio 3. These concerts were recorded live at LSO St. Luke’s bringing in record audience numbers for the lunchtime series. GOLDSTEIN-PELED-FITERSTEIN TRIO – PIANO, CELLO AND CLARINET Wednesday, April 3, 2019 @ 2PM | $35 Longtime friends bound by their Israeli roots and summers shared in Vermont at the Marlboro Music Festival, and now trio members for a decade, Alon (piano), Amit (cello) and Alex (clarinet) performances reflect their marvelous sense of ensemble and love of chamber music. Wonderfully varied programs include such works as the Beethoven and Brahms Clarinet Trios, sonatas and solo works that demonstrate both the artists' virtuosity and their infectious musicality.

NUGGET & FANG Saturday, October 27, 2018 @ 11:00am ArtsPower’s under-the-sea musical tells the story of Nugget, a minnow, and Fang, a shark, who get along swimmingly — until Nugget’s first day of minnow school. There, Nugget learns that minnows are supposed to be afraid of sharks! To regain Nugget’s trust, Fang takes desperate and hilarious measures. Nothing goes as planned. Fang is moping in deep waters when he notices that Nugget and his minnow schoolmates are caught up in some big trouble (and one very big net). Holy mackerel!
