2. INSTALLING PROCEDURE
2-1. Releasing the DBM-120 Lock
Release the locks securing the bottomplate of the DBM-120 and movable unittogether (2 each at the front and back).
Loosen the two screws of the fixing plate, and movethe fixing plate down and secure it.
NOTE : Be sure to complete above work beforeturning on the power, or the unit maydamage.

Enter the maintenance menu.
qPress the (Escape) button once at the initial screen of the display on the control panel.

wTurn the jog dial by three clicks towards the right todisplay “Number of Sheets” in the display.

rTurn the jog dial by 5 clicks towards the left todisplay “Fine Adjustment” in the display.

tPress the button once. Two beeps will besounded, and “Maintenance Menu” will be displayedin the display.

Display the ROM version.2qPress the center of the jog dial.
wPress the center of the jog dial again.
The illustration on the right shows the display forthe ROM version “11C-80033”.

Check the EPROM version displayed in the display.
If the version of the EPROM of the DBM-120 is 11C-80033 or more, it need not be replaced. If the version is 11C-80032or less, replace the EPROM.
NOTE : Be sure to replace the EPROM if the version is 11C-80032 or less, or the DBM-120 will not operate.
The EPROM is a service parts.

Press the button three times.

Enter the maintenance menu.

NOTE : If the collator set at the control panel of the DBM-120 and the collator actually connected differ, theDBM-120 will not operate normally.
The selected collator shifts tothe beginning of the line andstarts blinking.

rTurn the jog dial to select “Suction”.
tPress the center of the jog dial to confirm the collatorto be connected.

Press twice the button.
2-4. Replacing the DBM-120 Belt Stacker Cable Unit
Replace with the belt stacker cable unitprovided.
Remove the motor bracket at the back of the beltstacker (three screws). Remove the connector andearth terminal of the belt stacker cable unit. Removethe cable clamp and SK binders shown in the figureand replace.

2. INSTALLING PROCEDURE
Enter the test program mode.
(1) Press the numerical keys on the control panel in the following order. 3 → 2 → 0 → 4 → 2 → 9
(2) Press the STOP key, then the buzzer sounds and the test mode (Menu No.1) is selected.
(3) Switch to the test mode menu No.10 and display the ROM version.(Refer to the screen in next step 2.)
12-5. Checking the DC-10/60 EPROM
Check the last digit of the ROM version ofthe tower displayed (A in the screen).
If the last digit of the ROM version of the tower is “2”or more, it need not be replaced. If “1” or less, replacethe EPROM.The ROM version of towers not connected will bedisplayed as “0”.The illustration on the right shows the display for theROM version “11A-80102”.
NOTE : Be sure to replace the EPROM if theversion is 11A-80101 or less, or theDBM-120 will not operate.Use the same EPROM versions for alltowers connected.The 11A-8033∗ at BB of the screen is theROM version according to thelanguage of the touch panel, and notthe ROM version of the tower.
The EPROM is a service parts.

NOTE : Be sure to turn off the power of the DBM-120 and DC-10/60 and disconnect the power plug from the outletfirst before starting the work.
Check that the distance between thepaper in-feed slot of the DBM-120 and theLUL-HM exit is 8 to 12 mm (0.31" to 0.47").
NOTE : As the above range will not be satisfied ifthe ground is not flat, check that theground is flat.

Adjust the height of the LUL-HM exit sothat the paper in-feed slot of the DBM-120is 3 to 7 mm (0.12" to 0.28") lower than theLUL-HM exit.

Tighten the screws temporarily secured in step 1, and secure the connecting plate.3

2. INSTALLING PROCEDURE
qLoosen the top two screws of the pillars of both theoperating and non-operating sides.

wLoosen the nut fixing the bolt inside the pillar, andturn the bolt to adjust the height of the LUL-HM exit.
NOTE : Adjust so that the operating and non-operating sides of the LUL-HM exitbecome the same height.
eAfter adjusting, tighten the nut, secure the bolt, andtighten the top screws of the pillar.

Turn on the power supply of the DBM-120, and set to the A3 size.Refer to “6-1. Basic Operation” in the instruction manual of the DBM-120 for details onsetting the paper size.

Line mark of LUL-HM
Adjust at the long holes of the connecting plate so that the line mark of the LUL-HM aligns withthe A3 mark on the indication label of the DBM-120, and tighten the screws temporarilysecured in step 2 to secure the connecting plate and LUL-HM.

2-7. Connecting the Communication Cable
Connect the communication cableprovided to the connector of the DBM-120.After connecting, be sure to tighten thescrews.

Connect the other connector of thecommunication cable to the connector (atthe bottom) for connecting the peripheraldevices of the DC-10/60.After connecting, be sure to tighten thescrews.

NOTE : Move the DBM-120 unit to and fro when changing the paper size. Move aside the power cord so that it doesnot touch the DBM-120 at this time.

2. INSTALLING PROCEDURE
2-9. When Connecting the DBM-120T
When connecting the DBM-120T, use theconnecting cable provided.
Insert one plug of the connecting cable into D-PORTconnector 2 of the DBM-120, and the other end intoD-PORT connector 1 of the DBM-120T.
NOTE : Use the DUPLO connecting cable(marked STYLE 20276) only.

Enter the test program mode and switch to the test mode menu No.10.(Refer to step 1 in “2-5. Checking the DC-10/60 EPROM” .)

Set “400” for the downstream processingmachine.
To fix the setting
After setting, feed a sheet of paper to fix the settings.If paper is not fed, the settings will not be fixed. Refer to“11. OPERATION PROCEDURES” in theinstruction manual of the DC-10/60 for details onpaper feed.
