Updates

The software distribution server and the patch management infrastructure can be accessed at any time while the virtual machine is running. T-Systems provides up-to-date software and patches, which can be installed simply via standard mechanisms as soon as application operation permits.

how it works

Installation

Managed OS forms part of DSI vCloud, T-Systems’ IaaS offering, and can be used as functionality via the provided self-service portal, the vCloud Director.3)

The self-service portal allows users to select preconfigured operating system templates from the public catalog and accordingly modify the virtual machine’s performance parameters (CPU, RAM, storage) during configuration as per requirements. The operating system, the antivirus software (Windows) and the monitoring software, along with the latest security patches are then fully installed automatically.

Commissioning

Even during the installation the virtual machine is automatically integrated into the T-Systems’ operating environment, including all the necessary configurations and assignments. T-Systems’ support and active 24/7 monitoring are available following the installation. The virtual machine is ready to run. Where necessary, administrative access can be applied for on a temporary basis in order to install or configure the application. Virtual machines running Microsoft Windows can be integrated into the separate Active Directory environment.

2) Following testing by T-Systems3) Usage of the storage class BIS is a prerequisite for the Managed OS function

leave nothing to chance

Keep your operating systems under control: where necessary use the temporary administration access to install or configure applications and then simply assign rights back to T-Systems.2) T-Systems then takes over the management of your operating system with our tried-and-tested top quality.
