From dramatic weather patterns in science, to dramatic personality test results about possible future careers in ELA, to dramatic commercials in choir, to dramatic improv in our drama classes, to dramatic beginnings on First Line Friday in ELA, we are filling our days with a great kind of drama. Seventh graders enjoyed time at Davenport University’s activity center, eighth graders visited Craig’s Cruisers for their celebration, and all of BMS will celebrate with Wacky Olympics, our annual celebration of our time together. As we wrap up the school year in the next week, we have many dramatic celebrations of our progress and learning this year, and still some important learning to demonstrate with exams and final tests. Thank you for sharing your kids with us, for helping them learn and grow, and for celebrating that growth and progress. Please encourage them to finish this school year well.

From Our Principals……..

Drama abounds here at BMS! From dramatic weather patterns in science, to dramatic personality test results about possible future careers in ELA, to dramatic commercials in choir, to dramatic improv in our drama classes, to dramatic beginnings on First Line Friday in ELA, we are filling our days with a great kind of drama. Monday, June 3 ANNUAL SPORT PHYSICALSThe annual sport physicals for the school year 2019-20 will be held Monday, June 3 at the high school office area. This is for Hudsonville Public School students ONLY who will be entering grades 7 - 12 for the 2019-20 school year. The girls will begin at 6pm and the boys at approximately 8pm. The cost will be $15.00 and checks can be made payable to Hudsonville Public Schools.

Wednesday, June 5 8th Grade Recognition - 6:30pm at High School Gym / Doors will open at 6pm and students should report to the gym at 6pm

Friday, June 7 Last Day of School - Early Release @ 11:15am

Reminder fall sports sign-ups are available for football, cross country, volleyball, girls tennis, and boys soccer. Sports Physicals are available at the high school on June 3rd for only $15.00 - this is a great, inexpensive opportunity for your kids to get a physical done.

~ Feeding America West Michigan Food Truck Hager Park Church Saturday, June 8, 2019 10:00 am to Noon

Hager Park Church is partnering with Feeding America West Michigan to provide a Mobile Food Distribution. The food distribution will take place at Hager Park Church’s parking lot, located at 2635 Bauer Road in Jenison. Sign-in is required, although the food is FREE to anyone that needs it. There will be a large assortment of food, consisting of fresh seasonal produce and other high-quality grocery items.

~ Learn to Kneeboard, water-ski, wakeboard, and paddle board at the new cable water sports facility, Action Wake Park. Space is limited and there are times for different grade levels. Register online through Hudsonville Community Education at hudsonvillepublicschools.org.

~Saturday Slip N Slide - June 15, 2019, Noon-5pm Enjoy a Slip N Slide down the hill of the Soccer Bowl  (Rosewood Park) after school gets out for the summer.  Bring your family and friends to this community sponsored event and enjoy a kick-off to summer fun!  Activities include four giant slip n slides, raffle, toddler water park, bounce houses, foam pit, clowns, balloons and so much more!  All proceeds will go directly back into our community to support Love INC.  More information at www.saturdayslipnslide.com

~ Registration Information for Rocket Cheerleading Is your daughter going into 1st-8th grade next fall and interested in cheering? Hudsonville Rocket Cheerleading will have their registration dates on Monday, June 17th, and Thursday, August 1st.  Both will be from 5-8pm and take place at the Hudsonville High School cafeteria.  The registration deadline is Thursday, August 1st, at 8 pm - the end of the final registration (no late registrations will be accepted).  For more information, please visit www.hudsonvillerocketcheer.com or email Coach Britni via e-mail at [email protected].
