    According to the White Paper on e-Education (2004:14) e-Learning is aboutlearning and teaching philosophies andmethodologies within the context of OBE,using ICTs in the learning environment.

    The directorate is responsible forsupporting curriculum delivery in bothGET and FET through facilitating andpromoting the use of ICTs to improve thedelivery ofteaching and learning.

    Learning through the use of ICTs is arguablyone of the most powerful means ofsupporting learners to achieve the nationallystated curriculum goals:

    Collaborative work among learners andteachers; and

    Creativity, analytical skills, critical thinkingand informed decision-makin .
