Lowest Rate Rise in 10 Years!
At Tuesday’s meeting Council voted to endorse the 2016/17 Draft Annual Business
Plan and Budget to go to community consultation.
One of the key components of the Draft is for Council to adopt a rates rise
of 0.9 per cent in line with the Local Government Price Index.
This is the lowest increase in more than 10 years and considerably lower than
last year’s rise of 2.9 per cent.
