From the Golf ProWe can feel some warmth to the air. As much as Old Man Winter wishes to hold his grip, spring with inevitably prevail. The spring season brings much activity to Eagle Rock; especially for golf. All golfers anxiously await this time of year. The time for us to dust off the clubs, polish the shoes, and prepare to hopefully play our best rounds ever.

As always, our entire golf staff will be looking forward to servicing everyone’s golfing needs. Once again, your beautiful, professional golf shop will be filled with the latest and greatest products that the industry has to offer. From clubs and balls, to shoes, apparel, and accessories, your 2017 golf shop will most certainly have something for everybody.

Instruction will continue to be a popular way for golfers to maximize their golfing enjoyment. Knowledge is power, and when it comes to understanding how our bodies function as pertaining to golf, that saying could not be truer. Nothing is more gratifying to us than helping golfers play better, and seeing so many smiles of satisfied students, who feel better about themselves, and are more confident in their abilities.

Our golf season will once again be highlighted by our tournament series. The events will take place between April and October, and will feature a variety of formats, designed so that all participants have the chance to succeed in competitive situations. Our flagship event, The Club Championship, will once again be held in August, we will release the total schedule as soon as all event dates are finalized. Last season, all of the tournaments were very well attended, included a great meal, and similarly to my professional events, the top third of every field won prizes. We definitely expect to see even more participation this season.

I personally believe that golf has truly become a healthier, happier focal point for Eagle Rock Resort and our property owners, and nothing makes us happier that seeing all of your smiles as you take advantage of our personal slice of golfing Heaven. The golf courses have been in fantastic condition, thanks to our hard working golf course maintenance staff, and continue to get better. Never hesitate to stop by, or contact the golf shop with questions or comments, and we look forward to continuing the traditions of golf and comradery, and superior service.

From the SuperintendentSpring is in the air and we are looking forward to another great year of golf at Eagle Rock Resort. After a long winter every golfer in the Northeast waits with anticipation to see the first signs of green grass showing up on the golf course. This is the time of year that a necessary maintenance practice, aeration, needs to be performed in order to have the best playing conditions possible throughout the golf season. We try to time our spring aeration to begin as soon as the grass is actively growing enough to promote fast recovery. Active growth usually occurs in early May for our area in Pennsylvania. As always the golf courses will be closed for aeration to allow for the timely completion of these important maintenance practices. I’m excited for another great golf season and I look forward to seeing everyone out enjoying the golf courses this year!

Aeration Dates:May 1st and May 2ndRain Dates:May 8th and May 9thGolf courses will be closed for aeration.
