COURSE BROCHURE

Course Contents & Outline

Ear canal management is now part of the audiologists’ scope of practice specified by the HPCSA. This course will provide in-depth practical consideration of this area of practice to build clinical competence and confidence in conducting ear canal management in audiological practice. Ear canal management: physiology, otoscopy, risks, removal techniques, ethics and hands-on practicals, will be presented in this course.

Target Population

Qualified audiology professionals as well as audiology students may attend. Limited seating is available so please register early.

Course Structure and Venue

This is a full course presented at the Department of Communication Pathology, University of Pretoria Main Campus. Parking is available at the UP Parkade for R20.

Assessment and Accreditation

A certificate of attendance with 7 CPD points (1 ethics point) will be issued to all delegates.

Course Fee

The course fee is R750 per delegate and includes all course notes, tea and refreshments. The course fee for early registration - before 1. July 2013 - is R650.
