Early Childhood Education CentreIt all starts here. The Centre is a place of fun and laughter, imagination and play, support and love, discovery and learning. From the Centre, girls will move on to their next school adventure, confident and prepared.

ECEC ProgramThe ECEC program brings together the best educational philosophies within the culture of uncompromising excellence that characterizes Crofton House School. Connecting play and creativity with foundational skills in literacy and numeracy ensures the joy of learning is threaded throughout each day.

• Full-day program • Excellent teacher-student ratio • Meaningful parent and caregiver involvement• Opportunities to work and play independently, with their peers• Self-directed and real world activities• Opportunities for unstructured outdoor play• Learning centres that include blocks, family living, sensory discovering,

science, painting, dramatic play, water, sand, clay, puzzles, puppets, library, and music

How do I apply for my daughter to attend the ECEC?

Please apply online at www.croftonhouse.ca/admissions by December 1.

A complete application consists of the following:

Copy of applicant’s birth certificate and, if not born in Canada, proof of one of the following: Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or Study/Work Visa

• Parent’s proof of one of the following: Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or Study/Work Visa

• A copy of most current report card (if applicable)• Two letters of reference (no more than four letters will be reviewed) • Current photo of the applicant• $350 application fee

What are the intake years for the ECEC program?

JK – turning 4 before December 31SK – turning 5 before December 31

What can I expect after submitting an application?

Every family applying for the ECEC will be contacted to attend an assessment.

How do I prepare my child for your admissions assessments?

• A good night’s sleep • A nutritious breakfast • Plenty of fluids • Love and support • Relaxed, healthy approach to the admissions process

When will I find out if my daughter has been admitted?

Admission decisions for the ECEC will be made by the end of January. If no spaces are available, we will add your daughter’s name to our waiting pool of candidates. You will be advised by letter.
