“We moved to Wrightstown partly for the excellent
reputation the school district had. When our son was 3, we started looking for 3K options
and learned about St. Clare. It was never our plan to stay here, but within the first year we knew
St. Clare was the school we wanted our kids to belong to. It
has been such a blessing to watch their faith grow. They have learned about respect,
generosity, compassion and the importance of forgiveness...all
the values we hope our kids will grow to appreciate and possess
as adults. The teachers and administrative staff are an
extension of our family as they care deeply about our children. We are so grateful we chose St.
Clare for our children’s education.”
“Sending my young child to school was a very scary idea for us. At age three, we thought that school might be too much...that he
wouldn’t be allowed to be a kid, but at the same time, we knew that he needed structure and an opportunity to explore outside of his in-home daycare. Our fears quickly disappeared after stepping
into the classroom. Our son has blossomed, excited each day to tell us about all the fun activities and is always disappointed when it
isn’t a school day. This play-based learning is exactly what our son needed and we are so excited to be a part of the St. Clare family.”
Jared & Liz, Parents of 4Kand 1st Grade Children
“We could not be happier with our time at St. Clare so far. The 4K staff
and Mrs. Hubbard have been absolutely amazing. Our son is
learning so much. Most of all, he is being cared for with so much love.
The people at St. Clare are like family.”
Tony & Annie, 4K Parents
“My children have had both Mrs. Van Helvoirt and Mrs. Crooks and I could not be happier with our experience with them as educators. Along with their aides, Mrs. Bartosch and Ms. Mary, they take teaching and caring for our children to another
level. It’s clear they love our children and are passionate about their roles. The entire staff at St. Clare School as a whole are amazing including the principal, Mrs. Hubbard and Mrs. Vande Hey at the front desk! It can be scary sending our little ones off to school for the first time, but I am totally at ease in knowing my littles are in such patient, loving and capable hands. Mrs. Hubbard has ignited the fun and
excitement for school and learning and is truly a treasure to our school. My kids can’t wait to get to school each morning! They love learning and have a great
pride in their school and the community of friends and staff.’
Nicole and Ryan, Parents of 3K and Kindergarten Children
What Our Pre-K Parents Are Saying!
Joe & Melissa, Parents of 3K, 2nd Grade & 5th Grade Children
“The 4K program at St. Clare has been an excellent fit for our family. We love the option to only send our son 3 days a week. While he’s at school we know he’s getting all the academic
things he needs. Mrs. V. plans a variety of hands-on activities and lessons for the students that are engaging and educational. The smile on my son’s face when he talks about school is
the dream of every parent! I know his academic needs are being met and he enjoys being there! Mrs. V. and Mrs. Bartosch both have big hearts
and treat every student like their own.”
Dana & Brandon, 4K Parents
Jennifer & Brandon
“St. Clare has been such a blessing to our family. Our children are receiving a quality education with a religious
foundation to grow on! We are forever thankful for the attention that a smaller school provides at their young age. As parents, we always feel informed and connected as we receive emails, notes and pictures from their teacher and principal. St. Clare has provided a nurturing, warm and
friendly environment for our children to grow and develop in. We really appreciate our St. Clare family.”
Holly & Matt
“We could not be happier with our time at St. Clare so far. The 4K staff
and Mrs. Hubbard have been absolutely amazing. Our son is
learning so much. Most of all, he is being cared for with so much love.

“One of the things I really enjoy is the interaction between my children and the older students. I see older students wait
and hold the door open for my preschoolers. Witnessing those older students be so welcoming and respectful to my children are daily reminders of how special this school is.
The activity/play-based learning taught them so much without them even realizing it. The 3K/4K teaching team is so wonderful and they care so much for every one of their
students. We have had such a positive experience with St. Clare’s preschool program and are so happy with our choice
to enroll our children here!”
Meghan & Pat
“Our son has had a terrific experience in the St Clare 4K program. We have enjoyed watching him grow not only in his faith, but also in his knowledge and social skills. He loves going to school and learning every day. His teachers do a fantastic job.”
Ben & Kristin
What Our Former Pre-K Parents Have Said About our Program
There’s More!
“We feel very fortunate to have Mrs. Van Helvoirt as our son’s 4K teacher! We feel the first year of school is very important to have a
teacher that not only teaches the children, but also makes the children feel important and special! Mrs. Van Helvoirt does this
very well! The weekly newsletter is wonderful to keep parents informed on what is going on in the classroom. We are amazed at
how she manages all the little kiddos!”
Kristin & Tyler
“Both of our children went through the 3K and 4K
program. We love it! We also love that the school is so family and faith based.”
“I felt comfortable leaving my kids in the caring hands
of Mrs. V., Ms Mary and Mrs. Bartosch from day one. My kids also love them! They go
above and beyond.”

Pre-K Dress CodeParents can be especially helpful by following these safe, practical and reasonable guidelines regarding apparel. For young children, apparel plays an important role in ensuring safety and sanitary conditions. In addition, our teaching team works diligently to help your child become independent and build confidence in a variety of skills associated with getting dressed. Please note that this dress code differs from the schoolwide dress code. Thank you, in advance, for your help and understanding!
SHOESStudents should always wear tennis shoes or snug fitting tennis-like shoes. The children do lots of running and physical activities. We understand that other shoes such as crocs, sandals, stylish boots, etc. are cute and often worn at home. However, gym games, playground equipment, the mulch and walking up and down stairways are not ideal for these types of shoes. Shoes that need to be tied are not permitted in Pre-K. Students must be able to put their own shoes on by themselves. This becomes especially important during the winter months when changing into and out of shoes/boots multiple times per day. Exceptions are made for special days such as concert days.
PLAY CLOTHESIt is important that the clothes your child wears to school are well-fitting, comfortable and able to be “played” in. We do lots of active learning including painting and cutting! Also, please understand that children need to be able to pull up and snap up their own pants. Elastic waist is ideal. In Pre-K, leggings are perfectly acceptable to be worn as pants. Long sweaters are not permitted as they are often unsanitary after using the toilet. Please keep in mind that jumpers/rompers are difficult for children to manipulate in the bathroom. Again, exceptions are made for special days such as concert days.
LITURGY DAYSPlease refer to the schoolwide dress code for liturgy days found on the school website. It is recommended that 4K students follow these guidelines, however they are not required to. In future years, grades K-8, students must follow the specific liturgy day dress code. 4K students attend Mass on Thursdays, holy days and the occasional special date.
JEWELRYPre-K children are asked to refrain from wearing jewelry to school except for small stud earrings. Necklaces are a safety concern especially on the playground.
SPRING/FALL JACKETSSweatshirts and sweaters that zip, snap, etc. can certainly be used as jackets. However, over-the-head sweatshirts should not be used as jackets at this age. They are very difficult for young children to put on and take off. Additionally, when young children lift these off usually the undershirt comes up too, which may be embarrassing.
WINTER GEARWhen we go outside in the winter, all children will need jackets, snow pants with suspenders, hats without long strings, mittens (not gloves) and boots. While multi-layered winter jackets can be economical, they are difficult for young children to put on and take off independently as the layers often separate. All children should have a spare pair of mittens and a spare hat in a baggie in his/her backpack. We do our best to dry hats and mittens during the day. Please label all of your child’s winter gear. When winter weather approaches, you will receive further information.
