Early Intervention Language Coach Course
Overview and Introduction
Purpose
•To build the capacity of early interventionists to meet the communication needs of young children in a collaborative team approach
•To meet the instructional needs of Early Intervention Language Coach Credential
Values• Communication skills develop within the
framework of overall development
• Young children learn best while actively engaged in their everyday activities
• Team members collaborate in sharing information and in the identification and provision of service delivery
• Early intervention providers can support families to embed intervention strategies into their daily routines
Structure
•Asynchronous Online Instructional Content
•Synchronous Activities with team SLPs and families
•Approximately 30 hours of course instructional content and activities▫5 units @ approximately 6 hours each
