Early RomeThe first Romans were Latins and Estruscans.Etruscans came to take over the Latins and created the city of Rome.The poor people didnt like the way the Etruscan King ran things so they made him leave and created a republic and began to make a strong army.Rome had a great area, not right on the sea, it has the barrier of the Alps mountains.

The Punic WarsFought between Rome (Europe) and Carthage (Africa)Rome wanted to control all of the MediterraneanThe First Punic War was fought over Sicily (Rome won)The Second Punic War started with Hannibal from Carthage did a surprise attack on Rome (Rome won and really weakened Carthage)Third Punic War, Rome attacked Carthage by water and after 3 years completely destroyed and took over Carthage. (Rome wins again!)
