Constraint on the rotation curve
• Strong constraint from one objects
Flat rotation curve out to 13 kpc
Summary
• We have successfully measured the parallax and proper motions of S269 with VERA.
• Galactic rotation velocity at S269 is the same to that at LSR within 3%.
> Strong constraint on outer rotation curve
--- these results demonstrate power of high-precision astrometry !
Announcement
• VERA will be open to international use from this observational season (2006/07)
• Dual-beam mode at 22 GHz will be open.
• Call for proposal will be in Oct 2006, and deadline will be the end of October.
