hundreds of people on Thanksgiving day. Congratulations to Sheriff Gautreaux for 3rd Place!

DEPUTIES OF THE MONTH

Iris Burgess, currently working in the Tax Office, has been named the Civil Deputy of the Month. She was hired in December of 2001 in Civil Process and has remained in the Civil Division since then. Iris has a great drive and a passion for her work. Her favorite motto is “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” She shows the same level of courtesy and attention to all customers and co-workers equally. She is al-ways willing to lend a hand and never says “It‟s not my job.” Once of Iris‟s major as-sets is her ability to proof read and make corrections on mortgage deeds prepared after a Sheriff‟s Sale. This ability has saved the Sheriff‟s Office hundreds of dollars

Deputy Stan Miller has been named the Corrections Deputy of the Month. Deputy Miller was hired in the Parish Prison in November of 2008 and has faithfully served in Corrections since then. He arrives to work early each day and is always prepared to begin his workday at his scheduled time. He does not gripe or complain and he always seems cheerful in his demeanor. Deputy Miller is a professional who completes his tasks with confidence and doesn‟t let the on-going demands of his personal life interfere with his everyday performance.

Lieutenant Farrell Rose, of the Central Substation, has been named the Patrol Depu-ty of the Month. Lieutenant Rose was hired in May of 2002 in the Parish Prison. He transferred to Uniform Patrol in 2003 and has been faithfully serving in that capacity ever since. In addition to his normal shift duties, Lieutenant Rose took over the day to day task of the substation in order to assist while the Secretary was out of the of-fice. He is a dependable and responsible employee who has a great working rela-tionship with his fellow deputies.

Corporal Jon Mistretta and Deputy Charles Courrege, of the Narcotics Division, have been named Detectives of the Month. Corporal Mistretta was hired by the EBRSO in December of 1993 in Narcotics; Deputy Courrege was hired in April of 2009 in Uni-form Patrol. In the past month these two employees have worked together and arrest-ed 14 narcotic violators, as well as seized a substantial amount of drugs, weapons, and currency. Their enthusiasm has resulted in overall increased productivity for the Narcotics Division and they have both proven that they can be leaders. Cpl. Mistretta and Deputy Courrege are true assets to the Narcotics Division and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff‟s Office. .

Karen Fourrier, of the Human Resource Division, has been named Administrative and Support Services Deputy of the Month. Mrs. Fourrier was hired by the East Ba-ton Rouge Sheriff‟s Office in January of 2008. Karen has a pleasant personality and always goes above and beyond her normal duties to assist employees with benefits issues. She takes her time, explains things clearly, and takes pride in her work. Ka-ren always has a smile on her face and is a pleasure to be around.

Congratulations
