In 2007, Ministry Of Culture And Tourism Republic Indonesia enacted East Nusa Tenggara as new main tourist destination of the country as it is the only habitat of komodo dragons, the only prehistoric reptiles that still alive. This ancient giant lizard declared as one of the world’s protected animals as they alive only in the island. There are merely about 2,500 of them now.
