Milestones are markers along the highway to tell what progress you are making in getting to your destinations.
They are also actions or events that mark change or stages of development.
Milestones in life are things like the day you graduate high school, college or perhaps get your first job. They
can be the day you marry or your children are born. They day you move to a new job or a new house or per-
haps the day you move to new city.
Spiritual milestones are things like the day you were born again, your spiritual birthday. They can also be the
day a family member received Christ. Others may be the day you joined a particular church or started a job
within the church. I remember the day I came here almost 9 years ago in view of a call and it snowed 12” on
Saturday night. Yes, we had services that day. Not many people did but we did here at EUBC.
I also reflect on the newsletter articles that I have written. This is number 100, a milestone. I stop and wonder
if any are memorable. The truth is that most are not because they are meant for a moment in time and then we
move along. They may be used to promote something or to encourage or educate but seldom will they be wor-
thy of a Pulitzer Prize.
That points out to me that most of life is made up of small moments and collectively they form us and who we
are. Some are milestones as we have seen but most are ordinary days. We often fail to see the progress we are
making in life. I want to encourage us during the upcoming Thanksgiving season to think back and look at the
milestones of the past and dream about those of the future and be thankful for each one.

Dear East Union Friends:
Welcome our new infant: Blaine Garrett son of Scott and Kasey Houston. Blaine has two big sisters, Kinley Cheyenne and Kindall Claire. This month our theme is about celebrating Thanksgiving! God provided for the people of Israel with food and water while they were in the wilderness. Preschoolers can genuinely be thankful for their families, homes and friends. We encourage them to thank God every day for His many blessings. Our early learners will hear Bible stories and songs. Our younger preschoolers have the same curriculum as our older preschoolers. It is scaled down to meet the needs and abilities of their age group, yet it is also challenging for them. Our Bible Story - Manna and Quail Memory Verse - This is the bread the Lord has given you to eat. - Exodus 16:15 Thank you EUBC for allowing us to serve God through children and families! EUCC will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd, and Friday, November 24th, for Thanksgiving!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!! With Love in Christ, Ms. Sandra

A NOTE FROM THE KITCHEN STAFF:
As the holiday season approaches
you are welcome to use the
fellowship hall as needed. But as
a reminder, please leave it as you
found it. If you chose to use
your own decorations, when
finished, please put ours back.
Thank you,
Kitchen Staff
Have you ever wondered what you would do if you were in a situation where someone needed CPR? Could you help them? There is an opportunity coming in which you will be able to take CPR training. We
just need to know how many would like to be in the class. If this is something you want to do (and it is something every adult SHOULD do), please sign the sheet on the bulle-tin board across from the library. If you need more information, please contact Brian Kemp.
