Update from Annie Alberi
Dear Parishioners,
Praise be to the Lord and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us in the heavenly realms
with every spiritual blessing in
Christ. Eph. 1:2. I cannot say any
words to describe how blessed I am
to be in this body of believers except
through Paul. Thanks be to God. I
cannot write to everyone who visited
and sent cards and flowers and I
wanted you all to know how appre-
ciative that I am. I am doing very
well after my ordeal in February, a
miracle. It has been so obvious that
you have been praying for my recov-
ery and I have felt it. I pray for this
church and all in it. May the Lord
bless you all and visit me at Atlantic
Shores, Harborway, any time. I am
in room 131. Try to call first.

Hospice Ministry
Five years ago, Father Buchanan
and the Women of Galilee supported
the establishment of a Hospice Min-
istry at Galilee. Since that time, the
members of this group have cut and
sewn hospital gowns and bibs to be
distributed to patients by the Sentara
Hospice Volunteer Group.
Financial donations for this ministry
have been generously provided by
you, members of the Galilee family.
It has become increasingly difficult
to purchase materials appropriate for
this project. At this time, several
members of our group are not able to
participate because of personal and/
or family physical needs.
I have spoken with Father Buchanan
and the WOG Board members and
we have agreed to end this ministry
on April 13, 2015.
Thank you for your support of this
ministry. Many lives have been
touched by your generous support.
Sincerely,
Kay Scarborough

Slumdog Evangelist! Galilee Welcomes
the Rev. Kumar Swamy
Sunday, April 19th 6 pm
He was born an outcaste. Today
Kumar Swamy is a prominent nation-
al leader in India
and the general
secretary for over
3,500 churches.
Rev. Swamy will
share the amaz-
ing story of his
own rise out of
untouchability.
How in his youth
he was called by his peers a “dirty
Dalit dog” but today speaks before
crowds numbering as high as
100,000. He will share personal de-
tails about the persecuted church and
the phenomenal church-growth
movement among India’s nearly 300
million untouchables. He will tell
how he himself has been beaten for
the sake of the gospel and how today
the good news of Jesus is transform-
ing whole communities.
Rev. Swamy is an international
spokesman on the issues of freedom
of religion and human rights among
societies oppressed and marginalized.
Early in his ministry life he help pio-
neer the use of Dayspring Interna-
tional’s life-of-Christ movie Dayasa-
gar (meaning “Oceans of Mercy”).
Kumar has personally presented this
powerful evangelistic, church-
planting film to over 250,000 villag-
ers.
For over ten years Galilee Church
has partnered with Dayspring Inter-
national and Kumar Swamy in bring-
ing the gospel to millions who have
not heard it even once. Come hear his
inspiring message and vision for
training 1000 more “slumdog evan-
gelists” in 2015. Sunday night, April
19th, 6pm in St Andrew’s Chapel.

Generational Healing Service With Holy Eucharist Teaching led by Fr. Nigel Mumford
April 11, 2015
9:30am – 11:00am
Patterns of physical, emotional or spiritual sickness can
descend upon individuals and families from generation
to generation, i.e. diabetes, cancer.
The sins of the fathers travel down the generations to
affect the present time, but blessings also travel down
the family lines. Jesus’ healing power can touch our
families with blessing as well as free us from the effects
of sin.
