Education News

New Life in Christ Class— beginning April 28, 9:45am

"I hate, I reject your festivals; I don’t enjoy your joyous assemblies. If you bring me your entirely burned offerings and gifts of food— I won’t be pleased; I won’t even look at your offerings of well-fed animals.

Take away the noise of your songs; I won’t listen to the melody of your harps.

But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream."

You are invited to a 5 week study of the Old Testament book of AMOS in the New Life in Christ Class beginning Sunday, April 28 at 9:45am. The study will be led by Pastor David Highfield. AMOS was a gentle shepherd with a powerful message for the people of God. Begin reading Amos now.

Lyrics for 8:30am Anthem…

“Christ The Lord Is Risen Again” Christ the Lord is ris’n again, Christ hath broken ev’ry chain.

Hark, angelic voices cry, singing evermore on high, Alleluia!

He who gave for us his life, who for us endured the strife,

Is our Paschal Lamb to day; we too sing for joy, and say Alleluia!

He who bore all pain and loss comfortless upon the cross,

Lives in glory now on high, pleads for us, and hears our cry.

He who slumbered in the grave is exalted now to save;

Now through Christendom it rings that the Lamb is King of kings, Alleluia!

Thou, our Paschal Lamb indeed, Christ, thy ransomed people feed;

Take our sins and guilt away: let us sing by night and day Alleluia!
