What’s been going on in Grades 1 & 2?!
Mrs. Shelley Follensbee
Inquiry thinking, the mystery box.
Simple things like getting fresh air
and exercise is where it’s at for
these Ss!
Our first Skype !!!!!
Buddy reading with Grades 1-2 & 3-4. Taking ownership of their learning.
The Grade 3/4 class have been using Skype Virtual Field Trips to further
develop their understanding of the subjects we are learning in the classroom.
We have ‘traveled’ to the Joshua Tree National Park in California and we have
talked to a math teacher from India about her country and the culture.
GRADES 3 & 4
Miss Megan Chabot
Orange and Black Spirit Day – Grade 3/4
GRADES 5 & 6
Mrs. Nichole Bredy
We used Lego to create cultural
buildings! Amazing Dojo’s, White
House, Pagoda, Statues, & Great Wall
of China.
This Month we focused on poetry and
even created poems to enter in the
Remembrance Day Contest. We have
completed about 70 outcomes in Math.
Proud of their GRIT and effort!
Learning to create a plot
rollercoaster!! We are
working towards creating
future Novelists!
FROM THE MUSIC ROOM…
Please make note of our upcoming
Christmas Concert on December 14th at 7:00 pm.
This will involve all of our students at Eaton School
from Kindergarten to Grade 4, and all the band
students from Grades 5-12. Please help your child
remember to wear proper attire for their band
uniform (black socks, white long-sleeved-button-up
shirt, and black pants). All the best to everyone in
this Holiday Season and hope to see you all out at our
Concert!
Thank you to the community for attending
our Remembrance Day Assembly last month. We as a
staff were extremely proud of our students and the
wonderful performing that took place.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
Mrs. Melissa Hynd, Band Teacher
MIDGET VOLLEYBALL
Midget Volleyball was a great season.
Although we had a very young team, we held our own
and won a few games! It wouldn't have been possible
without the helpful coaching of Pam Schmaltz, Emma
Eckstein, Hannah Eckstein, Ce’Nedra Krentz, and
Hannah Swan. Brave Brooke was our Team Captain,
Jumping Jade attacked the ball, Active Addy was
quick on her feet! Addisyn C. bumped the ball like no
other, Brooklyn. S blasted many serves, Gared was
the most amazing Team Cheer Meister! Cohen
mastered a killer overhand, Dekiera and Kaylin
showed their power! As for Kaden and Trista, they
perhaps learned the most new skills out of everyone!
Great Job everyone! More than anything we learned
the importance of respect, positive attitude and Grit!
See you next year!
Mrs. Nichole Bredy
SENIOR GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Eaton/Marengo Senior Girls had a wonderful
volleyball season. The girls attended four
tournaments; placing second in the Biggar
Tournament! In conferences, the girls played hard
and had a lot of fun, but unfortunately did not make
it to the finals. Great job and see you next season!
Miss Megan Chabot, Coach

children about reading and learning, offered popular books and educational products for all ages. A total
of $1610 of books and other items were purchased, which gives the school library 104 new books for the
students to enjoy from this event.
Congratulations to the following winners:
Peyton Foster was the Family Event Winner. Peyton won $25 in books from the Fair and another $25 of
books for the Grade 5/6 classroom.
