Part 1: Steps to extract Forms Personalization’s 1. Create a custom Selection Set: (R) iSetup > (M) Migration > Selection Sets > (B) Create Custom

2. Give a selection set name and add the custom Data Object

Press [Apply], you shall receive the following message:

3. Update the selection set and specify criteria Search for the Selection Set again and click the update pen icon

Click the filter icon:

Specify the criteria; in this case we like to extract all forms personalization’s belonging to forms starting with FND:

Apply your changes. 4. Start the extract immediately Still in this form, you can choose the [Apply and Extract] button to start the extract right here. EBS opens the extract form. Give a name and a description, and click continue:

The Schedule window will come up and you can start here the extract by clicking on [Finish]:

5. Requery the form and you should see a request like this:

Wait until it is finished; then the status goes to Completed, and a downloadable file shall appear to the right.

You can open it, it shall contain your personalization data and some more files related to iSetup packages. Your data is in the last file (XXFND…).

Part 2: Review the Package Content To review the content the best way is to utilize the Oracle iSetup Reporting capability. (R) iSetup > (M) Reports > Standard > Create

Give a name and select the data source just created:

Press [Next] to continue. Select the object to report, in this case it is only one.

Press [Next] to continue.

Start the reporting request:

Query again, and your request shall be run:

After completion click the name, keep Tabular and drill further down to the details.

You shall now see a list of all personalization lines, further details are available when clicking on the highlighted entries to the right.

But already here you see quite good which personalizations you have in your package. Alternatively you can choose the EXCEL or PDF output type. Is case of Excel you will get a zip as output, containing the following objects:

When extracted, you can open the index.html and will receive the following:

Part 3: Steps to load Forms Personalization’s In case the target environment has been set up also in yours ((R) iSetup > (M) Administration > Instance Mapping), you can upload right from here. In case the target is not set up here, you can still download and upload the package manually. The target environment setup requires a *.dbc file, your DBA can help here. In case you transfer the file manually, you need to do the following: Target Environment: (R) iSetup > (M) Extracts > Upload Choose your file you have created on step 5 (page 4)

Click [Upload]. This will upload your file, validate the content and will create a readable object for iSetup, which we are now going to load into the target environment itself.

Target Environment: (M) Migrations > Loads > Create Enter the name, and choose your data as data source from previous step.

Continue with [Next]:

Review and continue with [Next]: Start the load process:

This raises also a concurrent program, in fact at least 2 (the second is hidden to this screen).

In case of FNDLOAD APIs only the total number of loaded objects will be shown. Review also the log to check about errors.

In it you see also the other request id, in my case it is the 11410799, which is the underlying load process id. Now, your Forms Personalization shall be available in your target environment.
