"he woring of turning on or off of high power LEDs with light intensity is seen
here$ "he element which is used for sensing light in the circuit is the lightdependent resistor$ "he resistance of the light dependent resistor depends on the
light incident on it$ %f the intensity of light incident on it is more, then the resistance
of the circuit decreases$ %f the intensity of light incident on it decreases, then the
resistance of the de&ice increases$ -e are maing use of this property of the light
dependent resistor to detect the light and there.y operate the LEDs$ -e are
arranging light emitting diodes in an array such that fi&e LEDs are in series and
fi&e such series LEDs are arranged in parallel$

"he transistors are used in saturation mode$ "hey are used as electronic switches
in this mode$ "he transistor /*01 is a general purpose NPN transistor which is
used to further switch the LEDs$ "his is a power transistor with a heat sin$ "he
heat sin helps the transistor to dissipate the generated heat into air so that the
transistor can handle higher power loads than it can do without the heat sin$
"he entire circuit along with the LEDs is powered .y a 2+ D/ power supply$ A
.attery .ased D/ power supply is usually preferred$ Howe&er, you can use a ac
rectified and regulated power supply$
"he LEDs used in the circuit are high powered white LEDs$ "he intensity of light
produced .y these LEDs e3uals an ordinary fluorescent .ul.$ "he lighting
produced is sufficient for reading or to do any other daily acti&ity$ "he circuit can .e
assem.led on a printed circuit .oard with all the components neatly arranged and
the LEDs placed in order$ "ry to place the LEDs maintaining a distance of a.out )
cm .etween the LEDs so that the the lighting will .e well distri.uted in your room$
CONCLUSIONS%
"hus Auto Night Lamp Using High Power LED is constucted and the change ofintensity of led with incident light is successfully seen$
