2nd Semester – Math113 (Calculus II) and Phy121 (Newtonian Mechanics)

3rd Semester – Phy220 (Electricity and Magnetism) and Math343 (Linear Algebra)

Suggested Classes

1st Semester – CS142 (JAVA Programming)

2nd Semester – ECEn/CS124 (C Programming)

3rd Semester – CS235 (More JAVA) or ECEn/CS224 (Digital Logic)


1) Start immediately with major requirements – sprinkle in GEs and religion classes

2) Taking classes in the Spring and Summer terms will be more useful at the beginning of your career than end – more beginning classes are offered than Senior level classes

3) Don’t take Physical Science 100

4) The honors program doesn’t mix very well with ECEn

5) Take advantage of classes that double count for requirements
