This Troubleshooting Guide together with the EDAT software is intended to provide a qualified technician specific information that will aid in identifying potentially faulty modules or parts associated with a device malfunction.
This Guide and the associated EDAT software are not to be considered replacements for basic technician troubleshooting techniques used in medical oxygen system repair and servicing.
It is assumed that the EDAT operator/service technician has attended the SeQual Level 1 Technical Training session and/or has a thorough understanding of the methods and technical practices necessary to correctly and safely remove and replace modules and components in SeQual Eclipse oxygen concentrators.
The application of the EDAT User’s Manual, EDAT Troubleshooting Guide and associated EDAT software and hardware is limited to Eclipse1 (Model 1000), Eclipse 2 (Model 1000A), Eclipse 2 Plus and Eclipse 3 (Model 1000B) medical oxygen concentrators only.
This Troubleshooting Guide does not constitute a User Manual nor does it represent the complete documentation associated with this EDAT software set. (Refer to the EDat user Manual for details.)
PrePArAtion Prior to use
•Computerisonandfunctioning •EDATsoftwaresetisonandfunctioning(softwarekeyrequired) •EDATinterfacecableconnectedtothecomputerUSBconnectorandto the Eclipse serial connection
consult the user Manual for details on correct operation of EDat and Eclipse devices.
Before proceeding, ensure that the Eclipse is not providing oxygen to a patient nor should a patient be connected to the Eclipse during this process or any troubleshooting or diagnostic activity.

Before the technician determines the best place to start the fault identification process the event table should be downloaded from the Eclipse device. This is an important piece of information that can be used to determine possible faults and problem resolution. Real time performance data is also displayed.
First: •TurnontheEclipse •EnsurethatthecomputerisonandEDATisrunningandthattheEclipseiscorrectlyconnected to your computer system. •PressEclipse in the EDAT drop down menu, then press Event table and EDAT will download both power manager and control board event tables
