Overview
ECO Club a ims to c rea te a c ommunity among ECO Singa poreme mb ers via fun and ed uc a tiona l ac tivities. Throug h suc h ac tivities, we
hop e tha t we w ill keep the passion b urning in these vo lunteers.
At the same time, we open these activities to the public to give them a
snea k p review into the soc ial and environm enta l issues we fac e.
Overview o f Movie & Panel Discussion on Food
30 participants turned up for this eve nt. The first p articipants a rrived a t
6.30pm. We had a short warm-up activity from 6.30 6.45pm to ask
som e thoug ht-provo king questions.
The m ovie sc ree ning sta rted a t 7pm and lasted till 8.30pm.
This was follow ed by a ta lk from Mr Low Chee Khoo n on the
environmental effects of livestock farming and an introduction to the
Singa pore Soup Kitchen p rojec t b y Mr Woon Tien Wei.
From 9pm till 10pm, we had a
lively panel discussion with the
audience openly sharing their
viewpoints.

Feedback
Based on the feedback collected after the programme, most of the
participants started to reflect upon what is in their food and where it
com es from.
Most of the p a rtic ipa nts also p led ge d to e at vege tarian at lea st onc e a
week, and to share w hat they lea rnt w ith the ir pee rs.
It was felt that in future, more time could be given for audienceinteraction.

ECO Clubs movie screening and panel discussion would not be possible
