ECO RECYCLING FACTORY
Project to produce composite modified bitumen,
VND 60/90, 90/130, 130/200 brands
The environment is a major element of the comprehensive development of any country. The
issue of environmental protection has gained huge global and national attention.
Recycling plants are designed for processing different wastes: municipal solid wastes, rubber
products and plastics waste, used tires, woodworking and wood chemistry wastes, soils
contaminated with oil products, mazut, bitumen, oil sludge, oiled shavings and scale of
metallurgical industries, medical wastes, etc.
For the construction of an Eco recycling factory, and the installation of a complete
production, we need at least 2,000 m2 of area and 2 hectares for the storage of recyclable
materials.
Transportation time 45 days
Time for equipment manufacturing 3 months
We divide our project into several parts, technological processes:
1. Waste pyrolysis
2. Oxidation of the resulting pyrolysis liquids, dark form "heating oil", with conversion
to bitumen
3. Bitumen processing, by compounding from special additives, including sulfur, and
created by our company "GLTRCORE" and our patented chemical additive
The amount of the final product, that is, road bitumen, will be minimum 6.000 MT per
month.

1. Waste pyrolysis:
Waste pyrolysis means that heavy organic substances are decomposed under the influence of
high temperatures under vacuum conditions, and lighter ones are obtained at the exit. As a
result of such exposure, substances with a lower molecular weight are obtained from the waste.
The main products that the pyrolysis of solid waste gives:
1. Flammable and non-combustible gas mixtures or pyro gas
2. Oil that is used as fuel or raw material for processing, as well as water
3. Coal or picarbon
In pyrolysis, the feedstock goes through four processes, namely:
1. Drying in a specially designed chamber
2. Direct pyrolysis or dry distillation of waste
3. Incineration of solid residues
4. Getting the final product: gas, oil or coal
Unlike conventional disposal, including through incineration, pyrolysis has the following
advantages:
1. Does not pollute the environment
2. Waste is used to obtain useful substances
3. There are no aggressive and hazardous substances in the waste after the process,
their volume is significantly less than with conventional incineration, it can be
buried in the ground
4. Prevents the recovery of heavy metals, they are converted to ash
5. The end products obtained in this way are simple

2. Oxidation of the pyrolysis liquid followed by the transition from mazut to
bitumen:
Our company has developed a new type of reactor - an ejector supersonic reactor (ESR),
based on the technology of supersonic hydrodynamic treatment of liquid media. In short, our
reactor is not only a mixing device, but also a kind of activator of chemical processes, which
under its influence occur orders of magnitude faster and more complete than under normal
conditions. With the help of our ESD, you can make very stable emulsions, or vice versa,
break up unwanted stable emulsions, qualitatively remove unwanted bound gases. ESD can
be used for reagentless oxidation with oxygen in air and dissolved in water, for example,
when purifying drinking water from ferrous iron. At the same time, on a submicron inside the
apparatus, a homogenization of media occurs - a liquid significantly accelerates all oxidative
processes.
3. Technology for obtaining modified composite bitumen:
Creation of an industrial plant to produce modified composite bitumen.
We have proposed a unique technology for obtaining not a physical mixture of sulfur and
bitumen, but the formation of a chemical bond between sulfur and bitumen with the formation
of bituminous polymers, a Thiokol has approximately a similar structure. This technology
becomes possible with the use of a unique catalyst developed by us and has no analogues in
world practice.
The use of the catalyst we created makes it possible not only to obtain a modified composite
bitumen corresponding to GOST, but also to avoid the release of hydrogen sulfide during the
reaction. The resulting modified composite bitumen can withstand heating up to a temperature
of 200-250 ° C without the release of hydrogen sulfide.
Modified composite bitumen possesses a set of positive properties. First, these include reducing
the use of bitumen by 40-50% in sulfur-asphalt concrete. The deformative properties of binders
increase, while the heat resistance and strength of the product, its stability in corrosive
environments increase significantly, low water absorption and high frost resistance, and heat
resistance, as well as crack resistance.
The main advantages of modified composite bitumen:
● High strength;
● Corrosion resistance;
● Low water absorption;
● Waterproof;
● Frost resistance;
● Heat resistance
● Crack resistance.

The installation consists of the following units: a sulfur milter, a reactor-mixer, an oil station
as a source and supply of a coolant. Technical sulfur is fed into the sulfur milter along the
conveyor in a metered dose; then the set temperature in it is raised by feeding hot oil. Within
1.5-2 hours, sulfur is melted, and a catalyst is added to activate crystalline sulfur, mixed.
Bitumen is fed into the reactor, and activated sulfur is discharged at the design temperature.
The mixture is mixed for 2.5-3 hours and supplied to the operating asphalt concrete plant.
During the entire process, a strictly defined temperature is maintained in each container,
which is ensured by temperature sensors. The catalyst used can significantly reduce, and with
a fully controlled process, eliminate the release of toxic hydrogen sulfide.
After the completion of the process, the finished sulfur bitumen is fed to the ABZ plant for
the preparation of asphalt mixture.
Conclusion
Abroad (USA, Canada, Poland, Germany, France, etc.), a fairly large experience has been
accumulated in the use of SBV in road construction. Domestic research in this area was
mainly limited to laboratory and experimental production work.
The first test sections of highways in the USA and Canada with a coating based on SBV were
built in 1964. Sulfur-bitumen binders were prepared with a sulfur content of 30% by weight
of bitumen. A feature of such mixtures is their good workability and compaction, increased
thermal stability of the binder and asphalt concrete.
In France, where about 10 km of experimental asphalt concrete pavements were installed
annually. Investigated the possibility of using SBV in mixtures with gravel, slag, low-
strength material. Pilot construction has shown that the quality of mixtures prepared on such
materials using sulfur corresponds to the quality of mixtures prepared on bitumen and
conditioned crushed stone and mineral powder.
The possibility of using substandard stone materials in sulfur-bitumen-mineral mixtures has
led to research in those countries where sulfur is an imported and expensive material. So, in
Saudi Arabia, studies have been carried out with the aim of using dune sands in asphalt
concrete mixtures. It was found that the introduction of 15% sulfur into a mixture of dune
sand with high-viscosity bitumen allows not only to reduce the optimal bitumen content from
6.4 to 5%, but also to significantly improve the physical and mechanical properties of
bitumen-sand materials. The use of natural substandard sands as a mineral component of
bitumen-mineral mixtures is one of the central areas of work for road builders in the USA,
Canada and other countries. Such mixtures are mainly intended for the repair of asphalt road
and airfield pavements of any class.

Bitumen packaging.
The use of bitumen in big bags allows:
● Eliminate bitumen losses due to non-selectable residues
● Control the exact amount of bitumen remaining
● Preserve the quality of bitumen in the absence of the need for reheating (bitumen
gradually loses its properties with each heating).
● No need for special terminals
● Save energy by keeping the entire storage volume warm
Thus, we showed that after the introduction of our technologies and equipment
We process 3700 tons of car tires and plastics per month. After such an environmental effect,
we get high-quality composite bitumen, which is so necessary for any developing country and
for export. The annual processing effect is 45000 tons Equal 10 million of car tires, with the
production of 70,000 tons of bitumen. The required investment under request. Includes there
2 installations for pyrolysis plus a unit for the oxidation of fuel oil and 2 units to produce
composite bitumen. Laboratory equipment and equipment for grinding.
This also includes installation supervision and transportation.
