Peniche is surrounded by ocean and by waves. Either on the south or the north coast there are a lot of

surf spots. Here are some of the most famous: Supertubos, Molhe Leste, Lagido, Cantinho, Meio da Baia,

    Almagreira, Belgas, Consolao.

The Surf school is based around you, the experience and professionalism, the surf instructors qualified

by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and the best surf equipment available on the market.

The school is open to people of all ages, skill levels and nationalities.

You will be taught by highly qualified and experienced surfers and surf teachers who are also life guards.

Peniche has so many waves that it is possible to surf several surf spots on the same day, we just have to

be at the right spot at the right time. At the same time you are surfing you are visiting different beaches,

    you'll never get bored.

Discover Lisbon in one day !

Once the launch pad for many of the voyages of discovery (notably Vasco da Gama's epic journey to

India), Lisbon was the first true world city, the capital of an empire spreading over all continents, from

South America (Brazil) to Asia (Macao, China; Goa, India). It is forever known as the city of the explorers,

and you too will be filled with the spirit of discovery as you retrace the footsteps of Prince Henry the

Navigator or Ferdinand Magellan. The city's legendary seven hills will also seduce you into admiring

characteristic mosaic pavements and dazzling tiled faades, and will reward you with strategically-placed

miradouros or viewpoints offering breathtaking panoramas over the city after a ride on a charming old

    tram.

Concentrate on the main highlights, we start in the Belem district, reached by tram 15. It departs from

downtown, where you can also take time to admire the city's main squares (Rossio and Comercio

Square) and pedestrian streets (Rua Augusta). The Hieronymites Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jernimos)

is located in the Belm, district of Lisbon. This magnificent monastery can be considered one of the most

prominent monuments in Lisbon and is certainly one of the most successful achievements of theManueline style (Portuguese late-Gothic). In 1983, it was classified by the UNESCO, with nearby Belm

Tower, as a World Heritage Site. After we visit the monastery we take the underpass to the Discoveries

Monument, and walk to Belem Tower.

Next, we take tram 15 once again, this time in the opposite direction, and once back downtown, walk up

    to Alfama.

Alfama is the oldest district of Lisbon, spreading on the slope between the Castle of Lisbon and the Tejo

river. Its name comes from the Arabic Al-hamma, meaning fountains or baths. It contains many

important historical attractions, with many Fado bars and restaurants.

Overlooking the Alfama is the mediaeval Castle of So Jorge, royal residence until the early 16th century

and now offering the best views of the city. In the slopes of Alfama there are other terraces

(miradouros) from which to see the city, like the Miradouro de Santa Luzia, near the church of the same

name and over remnants of the Moorish city walls, and the Miradouro das Portas do Sol(Gates of the

Sun). Near Miradouro of Santa Luzia is located the Museum of Decorative Arts (Museu de Artes

Decorativas), a 17th century mansion with magnificent interiors.

Among the churches of the Alfama are Lisbon Cathedral (12th-14th centuries), the oldest of the city and

located to the West of the neighbourhood, the Convent of the Grace (Convento da Graa, 18th century),

near the Castle, the mannerist Monastery of So Vicente de Fora (late 16th-18th century), where the

Kings of the House of Braganza are buried, and the baroque Church of Santa Engrcia (17th century),

now converted into a National Pantheon for important Portuguese personalities.

View of Alfama from Miradouro de Santa Luzia

Next we take the metro to Parque das Naes and visit the Oceanarium. We stop to admire the

futuristic architecture of the district. Parque das Naes covers an extensive area in northeastern Lisbon

next to the Tagus estuary, formerly used for mainly industrial purposes. Here we can admire Vasco da

Gama Tower, The Atlantic Pavilion concert hall, Marina Parque das Naes, The Atlantic Pavilion concert

    hall.

The Lisbon Oceanarium has a large collection of marine species birds, mammals, fish, cnidaria, and

other marine organisms totaling about 16,000 individuals of 450 species.

We end our Lisbon visit with a night in Bairro Alto, first for dinner, then for some drinks as you bar-hop

through this old quarter, and after midnight we will return to Peniche.

    Print Screens

For the accomodation, we contacted the Surf Camp in Peniche, they responded promptly and they

provided us with the offer for a group of over 16 persons. As for the transportation, we contacted

several airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Air France KLM and Lufthansa. Neither of these airlinescould provide us an offer with a group discount through an email because of the high costs of the flight

and the time between the moment of the reservation and the moment of flight.

Bellow you will find the print screen with the offer from the surf camp and the price and dates for the

Swiss Airlines. All other print screens will be found annexed.
