Our longevity is due to our innovative approach and focus on
research and development to ensure our products are of high
quality and correctly tailored for the relevant market.
In 2011 a new head office and state-of-the-art manufacturing
facility was constructed in Laverton North, Victoria, to meet
growing demand for Edgemill products and services.

About Us
The Edgemill Group is a family owned business with over forty years of experience in retail, wholesale and manufacturing.
The new facility will feature a purpose built cellar door suitable
to host wine related courses, dinner functions and wine tasting
events. The site will also house two new bottling lines that
can bottle and package both still and sparkling wines, as well
as spirits and RTD products.
With on-site tank storage capacity of 400,000 litres we are well
positioned to deal with increased demand and future growth.

We have recently relocated to our new purpose built facility which will allow us to expand our operations and provide a full scope of services.
Our New Home
The Edgemill Group employs a full time industrial chemist
and will soon employ in-house winemakers to check and
oversee the quality of all products.
Our soon to be completed laboratory will meet HACCP
accreditation standards and will allow us to maintain
and monitor the quality of our products through all
stages of production.
Combining this service with existing quality control
procedures minimises the risk of product degradation.

We pride ourselves on being able to fulfil any brief and
deliver products that are not just ‘a label on a bottle’,
but a complete solution.
Our services range from brand development to the design of
proprietary glass bottles, capsules and cartons through to
marketing and support materials such as brochures, header
cards, tasting notes etc. If required we can provide the
necessary collateral to build equity in your brand.

Matilda’s Ghost is a tribute to the Australian spirit, as recounted in the bush ballad “Waltzing Matilda”
by Banjo Paterson. The song narrates the story of that iconic Australian Larrikin, “The Swagman”, who,
having stolen a jumbuck (a crime punishable by hanging), is discovered camped by a billabong by the
sheep’s owner and three policemen. Rather than be captured and face an acrimonious death he jumped
into the water and drowned himself. Legend has is that his ghost still haunts the site to this day.

Matilda’s Ghost Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon
VINTAGE REGION/S 2009 Coonawarra
ALCOHOL 15.0%
GRAPE VARIETIES Cabernet Sauvignon (100%)
COLOUR Plum red with purple hue
BOUQUET Ripe black currant, hints of mint and tobacco oak
PALATE Fruit basket with a savory tobacco oak, staining black current and plums with shadows of mint. Full body, grippy tight tannins that feed branches for cherry fruit to hang off. Coonawarra screams through the reds and dustiness, one glass takes you to a paddock with red loam soil under your fingernails and on your hands
COMMENT Mixing it with the best of them, this is not the common wallflower that is usually present at the party; this outstanding Cabernet makes all other varietals green with envy. Smartly dressed on time and is suited well with Rib eye, rare with stuffed mushrooms and crusty bread
CELLARING Can be enjoyed upon release but will benefit from carefull cellaring
FOOD MATCH This elegant, structured red wine would make a great partner to venison cooked rare with roasted potatoes and a red wine jus. It could also be enjoyed with eye fillet on sautéed wild mushrooms or a chunk of aged parmesan cheese at the end of a meal

Pristine, honest and most importantly pure, these are the words that the winemakers of
Novanta Estate can offer as a description to their Misty Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Some say it’s
in the soil, others say it’s the cooler maritime weather, we believe it is a combination of
environment, viticulture and attention to details that makes a wine this great.

The 1930 Penny is the most famous and rare edition of all Australian coins. Very few of these heritage items
were ever made making the coin itself a true Australian treasure and a rare find. During the 1950’s and 60’s,
when pennies were still in circulation, children would often be seen huddling amongst themselves in the
schoolyard, sifting through their lunch money hoping to turn up the rare copper coin. The search for the
exclusive 1930 Penny continues today and remains the most sought after Australian coin icon.

The Arctic has always been a place of mystery and fascination. A place where one can experience incredible beauty in the most extreme environment. For centuries man has attempted to conquer this inhospitable place, risking their lives to explore the Arctic circle. In this bitterly cold and isolated environment explorers would rely on small tokens to help them pass the time during the long journeys through the ice covered waters. Amongst the obvious provisions there would always be room for a bottle or two of Vodka. With its smooth taste it provided an uplifting and heartwarming escape from the cold. Vodka was a way of keeping up morale during times when human endurance was challenged. You can be almost certain that vodka played a small part in the success of many expeditions.
