Whether it’s networking with potential clients or learning about the latest trends, attending conferences is one of the most valuable investments you can make personally and professionally. Conferences are full of great options for students, entrepreneurs, professionals, and those wanting to get a step ahead in business.
EDI organized its first conference in 2012 and it is now organized annually with a series name LCL (Learn. Create. Lead). The main purpose of organizing entrepreneurship conferences is to create opportunities for collaborations and partnerships to strengthen the entrepreneurial culture in Pakistan.
It is a platform for the attendees to learn, share ideas and to build a network with successful entrepreneurs as their mentors.
Focusing on Global Entrepreneurship and Development Index (GEDI), LCL 2012 explored creative ways in which entrepreneurship can support development and help Pakistan to come up from 86th position reported in GEDI 2012

First Entrepreneurship Conference 2012First Entrepreneurship Conference 2012Held in National Library Auditorium Islamabad, this conference was the 1st Annual Entrepreneurship Conference and 267 people attended from 39 organizations, took part. Of these participants 213 came from industry and academia to share their experiences of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education.
Known personalities were key spokesperson in the event including Dr. Ishrat Hussain, Dean and Director, IBA Karachi, Dr. Nadeem ul Haque, Former Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, and many more.

Second Entrepreneurship Conference 2013Second Entrepreneurship Conference 2013In developing the concept and agenda for the conference, EDI was supported by Knowledge Partners, Council and Ministries. Higher Education Commission and National ICT R&D Fund were Platinum Sponsors of the event. Uniquely, the conference continued to bring together all the major stakeholders in the field of the Entrepreneurship, including policy makers, industry representatives, top entrepreneurs, and consultants, facilitating a rounded discussion with multiple viewpoints, and an exceptionally high quality of debate
The format of the event involved a mixture of keynote addresses, open forum speeches, and extensive panel discussions, as well as the introduction of interactive working groups, plus plenty of scheduled time for formal and informal networking

Third Entrepreneurship Conference 2014Third Entrepreneurship Conference 2014On Saturday, 15th of November 2014, Jinnah Convention Center Islamabad witnessed history in the making. A mammoth audience from all across Pakistan, came together and pledged to rebuild the depressed country through the strength of entrepreneurship.
This conference is deemed to be the most inf luential platform to develop the entrepreneurial culture in Pakistan. With a tradition of having a crystal clear and comprehensible annual concept, the theme for this year's conference was aptly titled, “Rebuild Pakistan Through Entrepreneurship”.
It was the 3rd annual entrepreneurship conference, “LCL: Learn. Create. Lead 2014” organized by Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI). 1600+ participants became part, of what has been declared as the largest gathering of entrepreneurs, national leaders and academia in Pakistan.

Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) has initiated a series of workshops to train the aspiring entrepreneurs of the twin cities and giving them a head start for their fresh startups.
The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with an understanding of fundamental aspects of entrepreneurship and some practical methods used by entrepreneurs.
Training Methods comprise of Modules, motivational speeches and lectures from noted personalities in the business world, activities and complete development of a business plan that in the end provides as a road map for a successful step into entrepreneurship.

“Starting a Small Business”: A two day training workshop. A total of 20 entrepreneurs participated in this activity. The two day workshop witnessed the genesis of 20 unique business ideas with the help of 5 comprehensive modules. The business ideas ranged from software application development to e-commerce and fashion apparel to a corporate event management.“Build Your Dream”: A two day workshop held at Bahria University on Sep 20-21st 2014. The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with an understanding of fundamental aspects of entrepreneurship and some practical methods used by entrepreneurs.

In the second episode of Startup Grind Islamabad held on 6th December, 2014, we interviewed the social media & blogging whiz and CEO of Café Rooftop, Zeeshan Shafquat Malik. He gave hands-on tips and ideas on how to run a successful blog and a lucrative café/restaurant. During the fireside chat, Zeeshan narrated his struggling journey that how sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt you.
The third episode is set to be held in January 2015.
