Due to the Covid-19 Virus and the need to prioritise the
safety of our families, Edinburgh College cancelled the

facilities can still be experienced via an online tour by

FLAG Week Highlights Fun Learning About God is underway with guest speaker
Pastor Adrian Peterson retelling the story of King
Nebuchadnezzar of Ancient Babylon.
Focusing on the theme, God’s
Love is Everlasting, we have
heard how God loves us,
knows each one of us and is
teaching us through the Bible.
Our loving God is stronger than
anything or anyone and He is
with us all the time.
The students have been
encouraged to memorise a
verse from Daniel 4:37.
“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar,
praise and exalt and glorify
the King of heaven because,
everything he does is right,
and all his ways are just.
And those who walk in pride,
He is able to humble.”
Always remember that...
God’s Love is
Everlasting.

Back in Time at Sovereign Hill Students from Year 5 enjoyed three days at Sovereign Hill
experiencing what life was like in gold rush times.
It was fun to attend school
in the 1800s and spend time
with my friends.
- Kai
My highlight from Sovereign Hill was getting to hold a bar of
gold on my birthday. The 3 kg bar of gold was worth
$250,000. I also enjoyed using the ink pens. - Jorjah
My highlight from camp was when the doctor came in and said
funny things that would 'apparently' help. It was hilarious.

Year 9 Challenge a Memorable Experience The Year 9 hiking trip to Wilsons Promontory was a successful and memorable trip for all. Year 9 set out from school last
Tuesday afternoon and set their tents up at Tidal River for a good night’s sleep. Wildlife featured throughout the hike with
wombats breaking into tents for snacks and birds opening zips on packs to access food! The weather was perfect and the
scenery did not disappoint. Students were amazed by the landscape and took many photographs for their personal
memories. Mr Ridley noted it was one of the best camps he has been on. The other staff leaders on the trip were impressed
with the students’ persistence and competence in navigating the outdoors and the various challenges of hiking.
Trip coordinator, Mr Luszczak, did a great job in planning and leading this trip. His love for the outdoors and the passion he
brings to the team and his students is really appreciated.
Levi Wallace “I felt wonderful
afterwards but I would never do it
again - it was really difficult! It
required so much persistence to
get through but it felt so good to
achieve something that you would
remember for the rest of your
life.”
Amy Woodward “It was really
fun. It wasn’t as hard as I thought
it was going to be and we walked
a lot further than I thought we
were able to walk.”
Noah Lee “It was enjoyable but it
was definitely hard. It was a really
good formative experience be-
cause it was so challenging but
also really amazing at the same
time. Just being out in nature with
people my age and being on a
journey was an incredible
experience. I would do it again.”
From the Principal Edinburgh College remains committed to
supporting students, families and staff through
the COVID-19 situation. This is not a sprint -
this will be a long distance journey we are all
calmly taking together.
As you are aware we are actively planning to enable student
learning to be continued off-campus during the school term,
should the need arise. Our hope and prayer is that
Edinburgh College remains open for the remainder of this
term.
Let us continue to remind each other that the best way to
handle anxiety is to limit media viewing and to look for ways
to safely serve and support our neighbours.
Thank you for your prayers and support and for working
together to ensure the best for our communities. We
have really enjoyed your many emails of encouragement,
ideas to support one another and your daily smiles.
Please contact our team if you need assistance and/or
support.
May God continue to bless and guide.
