    25th Anniversary Celebration

    Oh What A Night!

Our 25th Anniversary Celebration was a hugesuccess. More than 140 people came out toparticipate in this memorable occasion. Everyonewas greeted at the door with hot and cold hors-d'oeuvres and a flute of champagne. Theentertainment of Nino Palazollo set the mood for oursocial hour. It was a great time to renew with friendsfrom the past. M.C. Doran McTaggart led us in asing-along with the small bells used for placesettings. His humour and recount of what happened25 years ago was quite enjoyable. Doran, along withthe members of the Barbershop Quartet, entertainedus with the wonderful songs we all knew. The Frenchchoral group under the leadership of Pauline Moraiscaptured songs from the French Heritage Community. The plated meal was exceptional and professionallyserved by the staff at the Fogolar Furlan Club. Thewine with the 25th Anniversary logo added to thefestivities and the centrepieces were a nice addedtouch reflecting the blue and gold of RTO/ERO. Thebooklet prepared by Ann Cotter, Emy McBride andJohn Zangari was professionally done and reflectedour 25 years as Windsor-Essex District 7. MargCouture, Provincial President, brought greetings fromProvincial office. Leo Normandeau and Jim Sparrowwere recognized for their role at Provincial. Apowerpoint presentation masterfully prepared byEmy, Ann and John was the culmination of abeautiful evening reflecting the past presidents andmany activities of the past. A small memorabilia wasgiven to the past presidents. Several pictures weretaken by Ann Cotter and Don Learn and will beplaced on our website for all to enjoy. Media from LeRampart was in attendance and we made the frontpage of their newspaper. The DJ provided enjoyablemusic and at the end of the presentations we hadseveral people on the dance floor. Many thanks to the organizing committee and thosein attendance for making this evening a success.
