“No Choice; Just Be Silent” “No matter how much all of you ask questions, It has been implemented; There is nothing you could do about it!” The "ar administration should ha#e been honest and $ust said the statement abo#e, rather than wreaking the heads of the students in trying to figure the logic out of their answers to the questions of the latter regarding the Tuition Increase to be implemented ne%t school year, &'()*&'(+ which was not consulted to the student body prior to its appro#al by the -oard of Trustees, by the way!. ast Thursday "arch (/., "rs0 Teresita 1antos, 2ice*resident for 3cademic 1er#ices, organi4ed an orientation on the upcoming Tuition Increase0 5uring the e#ent, 1he was accompanied by "r0 uis 1an 6uan, head of the 7ffice for 1tudent 3ffairs713. and 5r0 1ingson, head of the 89" 5epartment0 1tudents who attended were gi#en a copy of the "emorandum and the -oard 9esolution of the said increase0 The e%citing part of the program was the :orum, wherein, students were gi#en a chance to ask the three admins regarding the Tuition Increase0 -ut, during the whole <3, students noticed something in the answers of the administrators; They were either unclear, illogical or does not e#en answer the question0 They were e#en complementing the students It looks like the administrators themsel#es do not know what they are talking about because they cannot gi#e proper answers to simple questions0 The students of "ar are not idiots for them to fool around0 -ut the real question is= >hy did the administration conducted this “orientation” after the board resolution was signed? 1hould ha#e there been a proper consultation with the student body before this increase was signed into implementation? >anna know their answer to the latter question? “If we will consult the students beforehand, then this increase will NEVER be implemented because it will take a long time(before it could be signed)... >hat? 1eriously? >hat@s with the rush? The students doesn@t e#en know where does that money go into! -ut then, They will answer=  “!ou can ask the "it# $all for the %inancial &tatement of 'ar*s pro +ects... 8uh? Then what? >e will be told that they cannot grant access to that kind of documents because we are 6A1T students? Then, "rs0 1antos said to a student= “''('ol#technic ni-ersit# of the 'hilippines) has lower tuition rates, #ou could transfer there if #ou want cheaper tuition... 8a! If only the students ha#e the lu%ury of time and money to manage the required documents for transfer, then they@ll surely be transferring in a blink of an eye! -ut, since the registrar is currently holding the release of transfer forms and denies any student to transfer e#en with a #alid reason, It looks like the students should stick it out this time0 1omeone e#en said that they tried to request for Transfer :orms at the 9egistrar@s 7ffice but the employees  $ust said= ala pa pong /ransfer %orm, Ipinapa0print pa na min1

In light of all of this crap the students ha#e been recei#ing, It is still surprising that most of thestudent body of "ar still doesn@t do anything about this0 3ll they do is post their rants anddebate with their fellow students endlessly on :acebook0 5id they e#en thought that the

administration will N7T take :acebook rantsBcomplaints seriously? If the students want topre#ent abuse of authority, then they should show and pro#e those bastards that they are notworthy of being mistreated or e#en abused by greedy officials0
