Toyota Kirloskar Motor has contributed
an INNOVA engine of 2.5L capacity and
ETIOS engine of 1.4L capacity for
Centre of excellence at AMCEC.
Centre of Excellence
Centre of Excellence (COE) in association with BMW and Toyota- Kirloskar is formulated to
provide coherent automobile knowledge synchronizing practical training with theoretical
demonstrations to solve, the many unanswered, out of the box queries. Competition in the
automotive industry is proliferating every day. COE infuses technological learning in students
which will reflect the skills in demand by the industry worldwide. Apart from car engines,
three cylinder tractor engine has been converted to working model which are beneficial in the
outcome based education.

BMW has considered AMCEC is one of
the COE and has contributed a BMW car
engine of 2L capacity.

Student Achievements
Technical Paper Presentation
A Paper titled “A feasibility study of implementing a smart
transit system for an Urban transport network" authored
by Prof. Gangadhar S Sharma and final year students Ashish
Gad and Amogh Karnath received the second best paper award
in the UG section in the "National seminar of Civil
Engineering " held on 25th April 2019.
Nishanth shetty & Harish G has been awarded 2nd position in
paper presentation on “Prior stroke detector” conducted by the
Department of Computer Science & Engineering at GITAM
University, Doddaballapur on 22nd Feb 019.
Akshit G has presented a paper in Technical Education Quality
Improvement Program (TEQIP-III) sponsored PRATIBIMB-
2018 National conference on Materials, Mechanics,
Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering held on April 27th to
28th 2018 at NIE.
Akshit G has secured winner position in paper presentation at
RNS Institute of Technology, Bengaluru held on 6th April 2018.
Akshit G has secured 1st place in Tech Talk at BNM Institute
of Technology, Bengaluru held on 23rd - 24th March 2018.
Akshit G presented a paper on "Lateral G-Force reduction" and
"Advanced Automated Prosthetic Limb" in MAHAYANTRA
3.0 held on 22nd March 2018 during TORQUE 7.0 organized at
Dayanda Sagar College of Engineering, Bengaluru.
Akshit G has been awarded 2nd position in technical paper
presentation conducted by the department of mechanical
engineering at GITAM School of Technology, Bengaluru on
10th March 2018.

Faculty Contribution
Prof.Madhu Mohan and Incube students won sixth
place in the Oral presentation and third place in the
Poster presentation Young researcher award under
innovation patent category, Bio Medical Convention
organized by All India Institute of Medical Sciences-
Rishikesh held on 15th October 2018.
Mobile Indira Canteen designed by Incube came to
reality.
GATE coaching classes are being conducted for
final year UG students by the department faculties.
Product Design Studio and CFD Labs are well
established which are bridging the curriculum gaps
of University syllabus.
Technical talk on "Thin films and its

at RV college of Engineering.

25th to March 1st 2019 at Maharaja Institute Of

Doctoral Committee meeting was held to evaluate
the progress of Research scholars of AMCEC on

Extra-Curricular Activities
We the department of Mechanical Engineering have supported and encouraged the development of skills of
our students. It is our duty to ensure that our students will improve and implement their skills in future.
‘MECH MELA’ is a student Entrepreneurship initiative to encourage blooming business plans by budding
Engineers of Mechanical department. Many students creative ideas, skills, and new approach of business plan
towards the vast penetration into target student crowds are nourished, guided and nurtured to bring into
reality.
‘MECH MELA’ was organized on 12th October 2018, at AMC Engineering College along with Colosseum-
2018.

COMPUTATIONAL MECHANICS LABORATORY
In view of the great need to train our students more effectively and extensively in Computer simulation of
Engineering Problems , a beyond the syllabus “ Computer Simulation Laboratory” is started in the college.
The lab cover all phenomena related to Mechanical Engineering Science, which includes Mechanical Engineering,
Aircraft Engineering, Automobile Engineering, etc.,. Students and faculty across semesters and disciplines have
expressed their interest in this laboratory. Many have joined the lab.

technical marvels!

Ayudha Puja celebration held on 17/10/2018 in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Ayudha puja is memorable due to the novel
decorations which are unique every year. This
year unused tractor parts are used for the decorations.
